I track whatever works best for the individual :) Happy to track your savings money, that's not a problem at all, just want to make sure we don't end up double counting in October.
I'll add them in your spreadsheet for now if that's ok, that's probably more motivating than not being able to update until October as well.

    That sounds great. Thanks.

My total for February is now: £720 exactly (after constantly rounding my current account to the next £100 down. I’m shocked it’s ended up at such a round number!

I promise that all of this is scheduled to pay off the mortgage :-)

your overpayments (both big AND small!) have exceeded £100,000 for February alone!

Wow. That is amazing. Well done everyone.

Maybe in March you could all pay towards my mortgage :rotfl:

But seriously £100k in a month is amazing! Let’s keep it up!

  • #46 checking in for Feb.

After rounding up all my payments and also paying an equivalent amount to the mortgage any time I 'treated' myself I've landed at a total OP of £1,294.50

I'm pleased with that and it's brought my MF date forward a month to April 2031.

    :j

Have a good weekend all, and here's to a well overpaid March !

Don't belittle your achievements. We are all at different stages. I have stopped work but still have my mortgage (and just used part of my lump sum to pay off a big chunk) - you however, will not be in that position of having it hanging over you because you have started your journey and are already enjoying the benefits. I wish I had been that sensible!
I agree I wish I had been more sensible to.

    # 51 checking in with another little overpayment of £9.96 to bring my Feb total to £43.61. (A small refund from my Gas company + a £2 coin from my change at the supermarket ! :p )

Feel a little silly reporting such tiny amounts compared to some on here :o but I keep clinging to the fact I'm mortgage neutral already (and prioritising pension / savings instead of mortgage) and an OP of £9.96 is getting rid of just over 0.1% of my mortgage balance outstanding! Even the teeny amounts add up for me now. :j
You are doing brilliantly I wish I had had the same enthusiasm years ago I would now have had a lot less of a mortgage than I have now. Well done you :T
