Absolutely amazing! :T I wonder what percentage of UK mortgage holders overpay on their mortgages...yes that is the kind of thing I think about!"Everything comes to him who hustles while he waits" Thomas Edison

Haha, it is an interesting topic! I came across this article the other day, which suggests it's a lot more than I thought ("Consumer group Which? has found that well over half of young homeowners are overpaying on their mortgages"). We're not alone!0 -

Oh really? I wonder whether mortgage providers are getting twitchy about this loss in profits and will change tact to recoup the profit they are losing?"Everything comes to him who hustles while he waits" Thomas Edison

WOW!!. That's a great amount for January, usually the 'skint' month.
Re: the UK OP's, its encouraging to see youngsters joining the OP life while they can, and rates are lowish. I wonder if banks are catching onto this, but i noted my new 2 year fixed has a much lower OP charge (if i go over 10%) compared to my last deal. My last fixed was 5% but its now 1.5%, doubt id get over 10% each year atm, but nice to know its a minimum charge if i do have a large lump sum  xx"Don't underestimate the value of financial security"
