Hi could I please join this group, would like to pay off as much of my mortgage as possible but realistically maybe £10,000 this year. I can only overpay by 10% each year.

My mortgage is currently £126,155.75 and I have a direct debit set up to overpay by £266.20 each month currently so does this count? It's a random amount so that the overall repayment each month was a round number!

So to hit my target of £10,000 I need to find an extra £6,805.60 well that's the goal anyway!!

I'm new to this so no previous year number for me.
    Original Mortgage: February 2010 = £150,000
    MFW #13: January 2019 - £126,155
    Current Feb 2020 = £118,013

#106 here with second update of the month. A few baytree sales and cashback payments has taken a further £350 off the mortgage which is now sitting at sub £120k. It’s been a long month but will hope to squeeze in a few more over payments before month end. Thanks,

    January total: £1,475
    2019 total: £1,475 / £15,000

Hi there, welcome to the challenge! :) Of course, overpayments you set up to come out automatically count as well. You're our #158, all the best!
  • Hi all, hope everyone is keeping warm in this cold weather.

A very excited no. 81 checking to report an updated January payment total of £10,000 thanks to an unexpected windfall. To see the balance under the 10k mark just feels unreal at the moment

    Thanks Juliecorn x

#101 with a second overpayment for the month: £600 this time. (Total for Jan £1,250).

End of Jan will mean now "only" £245,464 to go... :(

    That's London for you!
