    Hi,

I don't think i was involved with the 2018 thread but would like to join the 2019 one!

I want my goal to be set at £5000. It's going to be tough as we are saving for a house extension too but after viewing the mortgage overpayment calculator and crunching some numbers it seems achievable!

Welcome to the challenge Southernman! You've got #128 now :) Wishing you all the best with your overpayments and saving for the extension!

Joining all you likeminded people on the 1st day of the month/year with an OP of £685, I know you all understand the 'need' to make an overpayment as soon as possible :D

I'm off to a good start thanks to a Xmas bonus from work, hoping to keep to regular payments of approx £300 each month.

These threads really helped me stay motivated over the last 2 years, so big thanks to julicorn for running it this year, and best of luck to all the MFWs for 2019.

Made our first overpayment just now - hopefully the first of many! Feels like a really positive way to start the year :)

#106 here. First payment of 2019 made and mortgage reduced by £1,125. Plan to bump this up throughout the month with a few bay/tree sales and tcb cashouts.

    Running total: £1,125 / £15,000
  • Hi Julicorn.

I would like to continue where I left off from 2018 and take part in the 2019 challenge.

Can you set my target for this year as £3600.

If the number 12 hasn't already been claimed is there any chance of having that? Failing that I am happy to stick with number 86 for this year.

    Thanks
  • Good morning and Happy New Year to all!

No. 81 checking in to report a January OP of £2050

    Thanks Juliecorn x

Good morning everyone, number 125 here. Following everyone's example with an OP at the start of the month of £575.:j
Birthday in the household this month, so hanging on to a pot of spare cash for that, but hopefully can add a bit more next month if some is leftover...

    Thank you Julicorn :)
  • Morning all,
No:23 reporting in with an overpayment of £126. Hopefully this will be my lowest of the year.

    Thank you Juliecorn.

  • Hi, please can I join for 2019? Never done this before so I’ll need a new number.
My (rather ambitious) goal is £30k saved into our offset account by the end of 2019. It’s going to take some discipline so hopefully this will keep me on track!
    Thanks
