Hi All

#37 my last OP I think, for December is £200. This means I have exceeded my start of year plans, without changing my target - and over the life of my mortgage I have almost £2000 interest saved by the OPs made in 2019Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I finished the year at £2880.99/£3000 or 96.03% of my annual spend so I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026

#59 reporting a little OP of £30 for December.
Thanks for updating!
My new lender's account shows my mortgage amount keeps growing up every day because of % added every day. I can't watch this calmly. My previous lender added % once a month just before my payment and it was less stressful for me. Also I like round numbers, but because the amount changes every day it's impossible to keep the nice round numbers..
I don't like my spreadsheet now. This is quite inconvenient, but I know I am better off with this lender than with previous one.0 -
#18 reporting in with Oct's OP of £530.83
I've just made the target, so any OPs in Dec are a bonus - however, they will be less than usual, as we've had to pay out for some work in the BTL. Will report back in in the first couple of days of Jan
Thank you

Thank you for the update! Can I just double check if you mean November, rather than October?

See, I thought that's how all lenders did it, that's why I always got confused about the 'round numbers' thing :rotfl:0

I think I would be the same - I suppose it does let you see what you are paying in (daily) interest and the difference each OP makes. It's why I look monthly and rely on the interest figure in the letter they send after each OP I make that is over £100.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target.
