Indeed. The thought of locking it has crossed my mind - I thought I'd talk it over with Galtizz first.

Also splitting these questions off to their own thread - though half of them would then be irrelevant when done.

Not irrelevant at all as they may well be very useful for other people coming to the board seeking the same answers!

Not everyone accesses these boards on a daily basis, like some of us saddos!!! ... and are more likely to scan the threads to look for questions already posed ;)

I'm still gonna wait 'til I can talk things over with Galtizz.

...I have now re-read this Welcome and no-where can I find anything to say that posts will be removed/deleted after a couple of days. Who actually does the removal and decides what is relevant, have my posts been sent to abuse?

    ((hugs)) pepsicola

Generally, it has been my experience, that posts can indeed be removed by BG's (yes, even if they are not *abuse* threads ;) ) for a number of different reasons. None of those reasons appear to be set in stone as I have even had very innocent posts removed (actually, they were to welcome newbies and that was in the Getting to know you thread - so hardly "off topic" or even "chatty"!! LOL )

I think the *real* problem arises, when posts are deleted and when it happens the poster isn't informed via PM that
    a) they have been removed and
    b) the reason for it.
(Good old fashioned "good manners"? )

Clearly posts querying the removals would not even come up had the poster been informed via PM of the removal.

Under the current methods, either the poster continues on the boards in blissful ignorance that their posts have been removed, or, they notice their posts have been removed and begin querying it either publicly (such as now) or via PM.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if *this* post of mine is also removed! :rotfl: But, hey - such is life. ;)

Just wondering why this thread isn't showing up in the main part of the board

Edit: it is now, must have been hidden before ;)

Because nobody had posted into it for a day or so to bring it to the top. You've bumped it now so here it is. :)

I think it's cos you've only just separated it off from the other thread but I thought it had disappeared into the ether somewhere as I couldn't find it on the main board. Maybe when that happens it slots itself in by date order or something, I dunno

Yep, all of the threads go into date order by the last post.

Last post of this was 29.05 so it had already dissapeared to page 2.

EDIT: Like Squeaky said :) sorry Squeaky
