Did you expect Zuckerberg to address all 27 European nations' parliaments seperately?
Another case of 'we are so important'?
Zuckerberg refused this meeting in the UK "with policy makers from seven countries" - so not just the UK as it is being attempted to suggest.
If some people are so sure they are right why deceive about events that can be easily checked? The committee was formed to investigate Facebook’s role in spreading fake news and will feature top policy makers from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Latvia and Singapore.
I don't mind people being anti-Brexit but deliberate deception to try and make an anti-Brexit point isn't on.0 -

Indeed. Zuckerberg and his company had direct involvement with the Cambridge Analytica scandal, and it was only right he front up and answer questions.
He isn't the only tech boss to turn down invitation from a Select committee though.
Maybe parliament will become increasingly irrelevant if we stay in the EU. You could make a case for shrinking it down considerably, at least.0 -

Well, hopefully it will soon be cut down if Labour does not chicken out, after all the independent boundaries commission report splits the boundaries into far fairer divisions, making numbers of voters more equal. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

It sounds like he said he wasn't going to attend without a formal summons, but answered 49 questions anyway, and was happy to have a video conference. It just doesn't sound like he wants to waste his time attending these things in person if he can avoid it (because realistically a 2-hour session in London will cost him a day or 2 in travel).0 -
You do realise that there is a tendency for today's "young" people to change their vote from Labour to Conservative as they get older, wiser and more worldly-wise don't you?
The older Tory voters you are hoping will die, will be replaced by younger ones who may have voted Labour in the past will be more inclined to vote Tory in the future.
Ironically the conservative ( small c) position in the Brexit debate is to Remain.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
Not good, but I do know people who admit they voted to stick two finger up to authority who will probably now take it a bit more seriously. I also know people who missed the voted to due holidays who might now make the effort to be more organised.
So I think it's fair to say that people's behaviour and attitude may change even if all opinions stay the same.My own parents voted because they don't like immigrants, why they thought that all the immigrants would suddenly go home I don't know, the immigrants they don't like aren't even from the EU

If that was really the case, then we'd have had an almost 200 year uninterrupted run of the conservative party leading the country.
People don't just turn into Tories when they hit 65. 65 year olds in 2018 will be politically different to 65 year olds from 1988, or 1968 and so on.0 -

Teens these days are much more likely to fact check than their parents (I don't want to be ageist but I have seen way too many fake Facebook posts being shared by people 45+, it's quite alarming when they take 2 seconds of searching to realise they are false). Teens these days are seeing their parents struggle on UC, PIP etc. Things will be different in the future I reckon
I have certainly noticed that, some of my older facebook contacts will share the most ridiculous stories or videos.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. It is difficult to explain that to them without appearing racist yourself 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is.
