Thanks CG. I walked more than I ran but it was a start I guess.
The car is going well so far. I had a couple come and look at it last night and its got lots of watchers and I've had a lot of questions. A couple of viewings at the weekend as well. Fingers and everything else crossed.
OH has started trying to spend the money!!! I somewhere wonder if he has learnt anything from the last couple of years of DFW:eek:. Him and cars are not a great combination that is for sure. Don't worry though I won't cave in and the money we get for the car will be put off the debt before he even knows anything about it :rotfl:Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
The very fact that you were getting out there and exercising is, as you say, very positive. Stick with it.
And good luck with the car - that all sounds good so far.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
haha! I can just imagine it! Good job we DFW are a secretive lot you'll have squirelled it away in seconds of it arriving! OH can have his new car in 6 months time - tell him its his xmas pressie!
Do you watch the biggest loser? I love that show, I like to watch it whilst having a cup of tea and slice of cake lol! But it does motivate me to get more active
bye for now cgxCC Debt: Jan 10 £21,660 now £8,170 hurrah!0 -
Well the car is going well. Four people have been round and looked at it. No bids yet but lots of questions and interest.
I've been offered £3.8k for it, we were asking £4k on BIN and started it at £3k. Dilema dilema....waiting for OH to get back so that I can discuss with him. Its only £200 short and the CC that we will clear with the money is at £4028. So its only a little short. I suppose the refund of the insurance will go towards clearing the debt. I shouldn't be too greedy should I? Lets face it its £4kc of debt I wasn't expecting to pay off in a lump sum.
I've sent OH a text to see what he thinks....Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -

So its a unanimous take the money?! My gut feel is for that too but I do want to check with OH when he's back from cricket.
Just been doing the forecasting on our debt - 6 paydays away from being DF:T:T:T. On payday this month (assuming the B/card is cleared from the car sale) we'll be a smidgen over the £10k mark. Cause for celebration me thinks . I'll keep you posted.
