Working Hard Debt Diary - Here goes

OMG did I really last post back in November???? Time flies doesn't it.
I've not fallen off the DFW wagon or anything dramatic I think life just took priority. I couldn't have coped over the years without MSE and these forums but I guess as we near DF land (we're not there yet) the balance changed.
Whats happened in the WHDFW household, nothing really dramtic.- Pre Xmas mania is school was survived
- Christmas was bought and paid for just - with a little overspending to be paid off this month from the mortgage overpayment
- Snow, ice and sub zero temps were survived with me even out runnng first thing in the morning (-8 I think was my records before I decided that ENOUGH
- Budgets have been reassesed for next year and actually feel quite comfy
- My ski trip is looming and some gear has been purchased (MSE way of course) and gear sold (ebay of course) to put into my ski fund. The fund is a little short at present but should be more or less there by next month. VV excited and I've promised to save each month for next years trip if I like it!
- Holiday booked for next year  Budget increased lets hope we both have jobs by the time we get there
- Work OH OK, work me
:( and
. Major full on job hunting happening at the moment. No risk of redundancy I don't think but serious horrible times happening, very unpleasent
- DD's and DS's growing and stretching my clothes budget to the limit and beyond
- Operation Fat A is well underway helped by an online sub to WW's . Running, walking, swimming all done liberally with 5lbs (sounds feeble when written down) lost in 2 weeks. Half my wardrobe is in a charity bag and the other half on ebay. The last few years have been years of debt clearnance this year is the year of me :T:):T. Thats not running up debts of course, been there, done that got the T shirt. Its just enjoying my life, my kids, my OH.
- Lots of decorating was done before Xmas which also absorbed time, energy and money. Main bedroom including new bed
:D, our bathroom and DD's room. Everything seemed to cost a fortune. All done for a while now as I tell OH we've got no money left.
- Mortgage rate reduced to NW's SBR
whilst interest rates remain low. Watchcing brief on it to switch when rates start to rise.
Note to self to post a little more often and of course catch up with all you guys.

Sold quite a bit of spare wardrobe on ebay which has brought in a suprising £80. Very helpful and needed. I got a £50 donation from my Mum towards a new pair of walking boots - my existing ones got a lot of laughs on holiday in October. My DD described them as 80's throw backs and I did explain that they are 80's boots which I bought for a school geography trip in the late 80's. Cheek 80's throwbacks, aka vintage !!!!! Anyway I started trawling sites looking for a cheap pair of boots when I realised OH has an less vintage pair in the back of his car which fit me. So £50 into the ski fund and said boots removed from car.
We got a water bill this week, annual statement, which put our DD from £35 to £65 . Well you can imagine my reaction. When I phoned to get an explanation they stated it was a mistake and that it should remain unchanged, even when I gave them a meter reading.
We got our annual mortgage statement this week which showed we'd paid £4k off extra. Well chuffed with that and we're now well under the £100k mark which is good.
I am so looking forward to pay day this week its been such a long week. My spending diary spreadsheet has gone into resus mode as there are so many outstanding items on it. We're not making a mortgage overpayment this month so that we can clear the excess from Xmas and the last bit of decorating bits.
I'm just organising my half term trips etc using Mr T vouchers as usual. Although I need to buy a new railcardbut I think I had my monies worth from the last one.
Half a stone lost on Operation FA :j just another 2st to go
