  • Working i remeber you saying this little bit left was 0% so dont be worried your not paying anyone else intrest so its ok and its nice to buffer the overspends (and the oven) when the pressure is off you sort of like it so either way the debt will be paid and while its 0% enjoy the freedom and you will clear it when the time is right.. remeber you have serviced more of your mortgage and thats more than i have done so while the debt hasnt reduced much the mortgage has so well done xxx x

  • Kids are back to school tomorrow :T:T

I'm so ready for them to return so that I can return to work (I've had a few days off) and have a break from my domestic goddess mode....

...this means cleaning out the kids rooms, decluttering, binning, recycling etc. This was a fairly harrowing experience to say the least. I started on DS2 rooms and worked upwards. I did get a nice self satisfied feeling as each room was cleaned. However I did discover to my horror that DD's carpet has been eaten by some 'bug' of some descrption. Yuck!!!! So we're going to have to get this sorted asap.....

Then as I was updating the spending diary this morning, sitting in the study gazing at the garden (and reflecting on the amount of work required there but) when a great big dirt RAT strolled across the patio.:eek:. We'd spotted one before doing the same thing a good few years ago and the Council man in who laid some bait boxes. We'll have to do the same if they still offer the service.

Updated the MFIT2 challenge today with a mortgage total of £101,206 which is a smidden over the £100k mark. We'll be under that milestone next quarter.

Anyway back to school tomorrow, back on the hamster wheel with school, activities, etc etc. :)

Still contemplating whether to re-start studying in November. I've got to the end of the month to make my mind up. I'm really in two minds its the balance between my life, family life, down time with OH etc. I must make a decision soon.

  • Thanks BL.

This course runs from November to April. I got in an real pickle December last year and although I did enjoy the course and the challenge I was really glad when it was over. I'm also thinking that I need to make time for myself, health and fitness wise, and the kids, they grow up to fast. On the other hand achieving the MA will really help me personally and professionally.

    COntinue pondering...

  • That I think is what's worrying me. I remember at the beginning of the year either not reading to DS2 or hurrying him up - he's only 6 now!

  • Here's my twopenneth, its a real toughie, they do grow up fast, and soon won't want bed time stories or as is the case with mine - won't want to do anything with you! But studies or no studies there will always be nights you just don't want to do the whole mothering thing & just need 'me time'.

In the end you just have to do what feels right for you. cgx

  • From what you tell us, you sound like a lovely mum who spends lots of time with & enjoying her kids. Don't sweat it, do whats right for you, from my own experience the kids don't mind in the end and if it makes you happy/fulfilled you will be an even better mummy for it (if possible lol!)

When i'd had enough of the bedtime stories I got mine story book tapes - I still did the bed time reading but on the nights I really cba / couldn't face reading Burgler Bill for the 1000th time the tape recorder came out and the kids saw it as a treat! God Bless Dr Seuss!

I think guilt goes hand in hand with being a parent. cgx
