We had a great day in London today. Very wet at times but great fun and memorable!

The kids loved the train, tube and the excursions plus we had lunch courtesy of Mr T vouchers. I brought a long a rucksack of snacks and drinks for the journey so all in all it was a fairly cheapish day. I need to plan the next one for half term now...

Weather is horrid again tomorrow so a day of domestic bliss planned - cleaning, cleaning, cleaning etc. Some more stuff is being collected from the garage tomorrow via freecycle so OH will be happy with that.

I'm avoid OU exam revision as well. However :rotfl:will turn to :o and then to  as the exam date gets nearer!

Off to update the spreadsheet spending now (and avoid exam revisions yet again :o)

Thanks BL mine is next month:eek: and I am still waiting for the outcome of my last TMA. Somehow I don't think it will be great since I couldn't quite get my head around what I was trying to say. Still a pass will be perfectly acceptable and needless to say the same will apply to the exam marks as well.

Any exam tips gratefully received :)

  • I've got a horrible feeling that I've horlicked the budget account!!. By this I mean that its gone overdrawn today I think although I've transferred into it today but it wasn't showing the transactions from yesterdays shopping. Usually I spend on the budget account in say Aldi etc and then transfer the money from the food account (as I call it). However our night out earlier in the month was funded by taking £60 from the budget account which I've nt yet put back in. This meant that the usually flush account wasn't. I am cross but only with myself. I'll ring the bank in the am and plead stupidity!!

I think I will get stung for charges on my bank account since although all the debits and credits have the same date on them some of the credits were made last night . My fault but I will plead stupidity when everything has cleared the account. All my accounts empty tomorrow which is always sad :(.

We've had a farily productive day today. I've been cleaning goddess today and have ruthlessly cleaned upstairs and all the bathrooms. This was in anticipation of Easter visitors who have exceptionally high levels of cleaning expectations :rotfl:. That said the rooms were all desperately in need of a deep clean and it even involved moving furniture!

Took the hound and the boys out for a trot between rainshowers today. The boys got so muddy on the green/assault course that they required a bath and a full change of clothes on their return. Good fun though and the dog had a great time.

I've got some finance bits done today as well including sorting out OH's childcare vouchers. He's been getting them since November (only £20 pm) with the aim of using them to pay for summer holliday care at a Holiday club. However I'd never gotten around to registering on the website or checking with the provider that they took them. Former is now done and latter is not a problem and the provider is getting registered.

Ordered some wine today as well. OH makes me laugh his parting shot as he left for work today was we need some wine for Easter! Where he thinkgs the money comes from I don't know. He has so changed his ways, as I have as well, but when he says things like that I cringe. I have ordered the wine but it needs to be paid for. I've a budget for wine (I know embarassing but for those who 'know' me on here I do like a good budget!) but its empty. A challenge indeed!!!!

Off to re-enter my domestic goddess land :rotfl:

I love the feeling when your house is sparkly clean - however it doesn't stay that way long with kids. I took the dogs out before and they are still absolutely filthy as they found a big dirty puddle

Wine budget sounds an excellent budget :)
