Having a nightmare with MBing. My current bookie is one that I keep winning in and for some reason they seem to be limiting the bets which is really frustrating since I want to get the money out obviously. Unfortunately one bet I put on earlier today they only placed £12 of £100. Luckily (v v luckily) the bet lost so I lost the £12 at the bookie and gained at the exchange. This bumps up my MB totals but in a very very risky way which I definately won't be repeating....
...I've emailed them to try and undertstand whats going on or to get the bethru requirments confirmed so I can get the money out. Very frustrating and risky which of course is not what MBing is about.
I've got a busy week coming up which I'm planning to continue the ebay listing each day and I've got a least 3 MS's this week as well. Hey ho ...money in the bank for a few days until the 1st when it all disappears :rolleyes:Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
Well done on the ebaying - its on my to do list! I don't understand the MBing, if you can work it then it looks a good earner. i hope you get it sorted out.
We had fun yesterday but a very long day, M1 accidents delayed us and didn't get home till 9pm, but OH had cleaned up bless so I can cross that off the list and crack on with the ironing instead! Been for a lovely swim this morning and am just having 5 before I start!

Thanks both
Ebaying isn't the most fun in the world but it does; clear out the junk in the house, let you feel good about doing that, rack up the pennies but these pennies soon turn into pounds and so on
One MS done and results entered, 3 to do tomorrow so over two days I'll have added £47 to my mini challenge totals.
Day off tomorrow and a whole long list of stuff to do including the aforementioned shop. Busy busy busy...
..tonight list a couple of ebay bits, tesco delivery and wrap up a parcelWorking Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
I was wrong I've only got 2 shops tomorrow so my total needs to go down by £10. However good news on the ebay items. One with a bid on and 4 items with watchers . I'm bound to sell some bits by sheer volume of [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] quality items I'm listing
. Listed another couple of items tonight as well.
I need to bring the figures back into line tomorrow as well.....find out how muc is spare to throw at the figures.Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
Making slow but steady progress today by achieving:
- One MS with partial entry of results
- Discovered another £10 in small savings account so added to challegene total
- Discovered £28 bank charge being slapped on my account expenses account for no apparent reason - phone call to bank to investigate and get refund (waiting for return call with explanation )
- Sorted my Mum's b/day present for her return from holiday tomorrow night - digital photo frame so I had fun digging out photo's of my kids when small
- Been for a dentist check up  - all ok
- Drop aforementioned photo frame into Mum's
- Take kids to dentish
- Bring finances upto date and make some extra payments off debt
- Sort out a meal for tonight
- Tidy house and clean up kitchen before OH gets in tonight
- List some bits on ebay

One battle lost for the moment. My expenses account went £16 o/d for 2 days and the awful RBS are charging me £28 for the priveldge. Plus because I didn't spot the charge on the account yesterday there is another charge accruing for next month although the idiot that I spoke to in the branch appeared to have some authority to wave what was accuring but nto what had been applied. Therefore another bank charge reclaim letter needs to be fired in.....
....my loyalty to RBS is being sorely tested. I'm not sure why I feel loyal to them, maybe because I and OH used to work for them years ago but I feel that may just have come to the end of the road...maybe time to switch banks when the RBS is paid off in November?
Rant over - sorryWorking Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
I got to the end of the day but I actually feel quite down, not sure of the reason but I guess its to do with:
- Not feeling like I achieved much today
- Arguing with RBS over hte £28 charge - its my money after all
- My current MB bookie proving very difficult however I have to continue to use them as I've money (£154 that I need to bet thru or withdraw and I can't seem to lose there at present) - v v frustrating
- I also feel like my mini challenge is a mountain at present. Brought the figures upto date however overspending on the fuel and food (usual suspects) meant that nearly £200 of the debt fund was diverted to clear these overspends. If this pattern continues my target will be short by £600 before any additional income. Not sure I am making sense now but we are either under budgeting or over spending and we need to sort this to get realistic debt busting figures.
