I was uber organisation today - I had 3 MS's to do this am in town (1 was not in my town as it turns out :rotfl:) and 1 on the phone. So the end was that I did two in town and I didn't do the phone one.

DS2 went to a friends for lunch so I decided to take DD and DS1 on a bike ride. OH having just repaired my flat tyre. Sun shinning off we set for my tyre (same one as just been repaired) to literally go pop. Luckily we were only about half a mile from home so we turned around and came home. Jumped in the car and drove to where we were heading. Spent a few quid on icecreams and parking (urgh!) but a nice afternoon which the kids really enjoyed although they'd moaned when I told them what we were doing.

Mr T shop coming tonight and more tax return if I have the energy. Then working for the rest of the week until Friday when I am off again.

Got to laugh - I keep meaning to post this up here. I had to put an earnings enquiry in for my car insurance with Quidco £70 cash back. I put it in last week but for some reason Quidco is now tracking my enquiry claim of £13,968.50!! Now that would be nice wouldn't it - my debt problems solved and some to spare - You've got to laugh. They'll noticed it soon I guess - :D:cool:

All lurkers very welcome here... I lurked for about six months (whilst our LB was coming on) before i took the plunge to post. Welcome.

A £13k payout from Quidco would be super super fantastic..... it will be cashed very quickly if it comes:D.

Just spend the evening doing most of my tax return. I'm just waiting for some final bits from some of my savings accounts and its done!! However I did notice when I was sorting through my papers that my employer have got my tax code different to the 09/10 coding I got from the tax office therefore I have been paying slightly more tax since April than I should have - I think. I'll check with our payroll tomorrow but I am pretty certain I'll be due some money back- not much but it all helps and will probably cover the small tax bill I'll have on the self assessment which is my mystery shopping income.

Picked up a MS for Saturday - one I like with a very useful purchase:cool:

Once the tax return is done I'm going to venture into ebay again. There are piles of bits all over the house and garage just begging to be sorted out. It's my misson for next week.

Have a lovely holiday - well deserved. Your totals are really tumbling down - well done.

You are quite right £70 is a good cashback amount!

I timed my day off well today and took the kids for a 'big' day out as we call them. The definition of big is the fact of driving somewhere and spending a lot of money generally. However using my T vouchers I got into the place for £4.95 (family of four) and spent £28 including £15 of left over holiday spending money for the kids. Not too bad and nice to have a bit of sunshine today rather than earlier in the week.

  • Just about finished my tax return however I want to double check one more piece of information before I submitt the return. Unfortunately this is as work therefore I will have to wait until Wednesday to get it and check. Looks like I owe a fairly small amount of tax which is only to be expected on my MS income! This will clearly cancel out the tax refund I'm probably due at work - easy come easy go I guess.

FInishing my tax return will be one thing off my list but unfortunately there are still lots more in the wings. I'm going to start ebaying again this week, I really can't avoid it now :o and since my filing is matching my ironing pile this too needs to be tackled.

This month is goind to be a struggle financially just because the kids are at home and we/I seem to be spending a little more than usual. Just taking the kids out etc etc. Its going to be a long couple of weeks until payday again me thinks.

I've also got a cluster of birthdays this month as well. I've DD's next week, OH, my Mum's, my nephew and niece plus sister in laws as well. I've got a few bits squirreled (sp?!) away but even so the budget will be pushed past the limits I imagine!

MBing totals are creeping back up again with almost £200 in the kitty now. Mind you I might be taking money from it sooner than I think if I keep spending money like I am....

All in all a little dull but as I've said before needs must!

I definately have to get ebaying with avengence. I've done some sorting out and there are now various piles of stuff around the house all of which can be got rid of. Its a drag and a bore but it so needs to be done for several reasons: 1) so that I can have my house back 2) so that I can generate some much needed extra income. I need a targert or a plan though so I think I'm gong to set myself a target of generate £300 from ebay . Thats a tall order I know particularly as I don't have any high value items to get rid of its all toot - LOL. IDeally I would like to see £100 a month coming in which could be sent straight off the debt. I know in theory our debt is fairly simple now 2 cards, both 0% and we're paying off £1300c a month but I would so like it to be gone soonest and I don't want to wait. We've no bonuses, payrises, or unexpected windfalls coming so its down to us - just as running up the debt was.

I prattling on I know but we are so close and we are both starting to see what life will be like without the debt. I've mentally planned some bits that need doing in the house and OH is researching a classic car he could buy. So in essence what I am saying is now that we are nearing the end we want it to come even sooner and we've got to work very hard to achieve that.....

And another reason for wanting to be rid of everything is so that come October I have free time (joke - work nearly full time, 3 kids, 1 dog!!) to concentrate on my OU studies!!

Mega ebaying time come - just watch this space!
