£120 is an expensive treat but most deff worth it ...you cant put a price on good times
  • Wow so glad you had a super day HTBDF - Congratulations and all :j:T

No winning formula in this house I am afraid Elantan just a good slow plodding onwards. In some ways easing upto being DF makes it easier since the having a little surplus (even though it pays off the debt) is better than going from feast to famine??

£120 was expensive although £40 of this was on the tent which we'll use again next year if not before. So the rest of it was food and beer and hire cover for some kit (bouncy castle etc) for the whole weekend. It was such an excellent weekend that even including the tent costs it was worth every penny. Nice to be able to have the money this year last year I spent £30 and that was hard to find.

Oh I am so looking forward to being DF.

Extra income seems to have dried up at present. MB has slowed because the bookies I've left to do are complicated ones and I'm not sure I've got the enegy. I've not picked up any MS's and those that have been on there I've not fancied doing - I must be getting picky!:o Ebaying - well I've listed a load but they aren't scheduled to start until Thursday so i'm kicking my heals. Maybe I'm in that danger zone...

  • Nothing much to report on the DB front at present.

Ebay stuff has listed with a couple of bits being watched. No MS's booked. MB I've moved forward again after a slight lull. Nothing very exciting to report really.

Just looking forward to payday next week and knocking another large wedge off the debt!!

  • Same old today although some of my stuff has bids on which is grand.

Caught up with a few threads and was partic excited when I saw Hypno's thread ref the Beautiful South - I'm a big fan as well - before I could stop myself I'd booked two tickets for November :D. Not quite sure which pot will provide the money for the tickets but I will sort it out :o big style.

Had a row with Next Directory this am. When I was making the CC payments last month I made a payment in error to Next. This account is zero and I was expecting it to show up as a credit balance which I could get back. It has however not shown. Next are denying all knowledge but its definately gone from my account. I've had to phone my bank to get a paper statement (to prove I made the payment!!) which I then have to send to Next to allow them to investigation. Meantime they have my money!! Very frustrating. I must learn to slow down when I make payments in future - you see I'm so keen to clear the debt!! :rotfl:

Picked up one MS and moved the MB on.

Counting the days to payday, the cupboards are bare as well!!

May need to pay for the remainder of the holiday childcare this week coming as well. Thankfully the money is in the account but it will still be an ouch!

I hope you are not blaming me for the fact you are spending money on concert tickets :rotfl:

M/S and the like has slowed down for me too - I think it is partly that things are just slow, and partly because I am not making so much effort to pick them up/being fussy about which ones I do......

There were days when I would have been checking every hour or so.......but now I check once a day and of course a lot of them go instantly so I miss out. But hey, I've had my fair share over the years!

  • No blame at all H just thanks - I've not seen them for years and years and I didn't know there was a concert looming. So I am very excited to be seeing them again - big big fan here. Hell by November if we're not DF we'll only be a payday away from it!! Tickets are on the cc though so they need to be paid off next week when we're paid.

I'm like you on the MS as well. I'm certainly getting more choosy and not doing everything that comes my way. Likewise I'm not checking all the time either, perhaps daily like you.

We are seeing the end of this long road so I guess we are relaxing a little as well. We've enought 'surplus' each month to pay at least £1500 of the debt each month and this makes you relax a little. When we started we were short a small amount each month and in fact we weren't even budgetting for a lot of stuff then....

  • Lovely day out today with the kids. One of holiday 'big' days out. We went to Warwick Castle with my Mr T Vouchers - excellent day out all round. Spent about £30  on car parking, ice creams, and the remainder of their holiday money in the ubiquitous shop. It really was a good day and the weather was Ok as well.

I've got to do the dreaded school shoe run tomorrow. Tried all the shoes on yesterday and based on my experience DS2 needs new ones, DS1's are wearing out but he is so hard on shoes he can wait until he's worn them out or grown out of them and I'm not sure about DD. Either way the clothes budget is going to get really stretched. The clothes budget has nothing in it until payday and then we have £50 going in. However with three growing kids that doesn't go very far. We'll have to manage though.

Payday this week and looking forward to another load of debt being gone for good. Need to balance the books a little with general cash flow but should be realively easy!!
