Finally finished my tax return :j Now I owe £77 which is OK and about what I expected. I've £40 of this already and the rest will have to be generated from the ebay sales/MBing & MSing which I will now have to launch into with avengence - no excuses now. In fact since i have the house to myself tonight I'm about to bring all my piles of toot into once place to photograph and get ready to list. This girl is seriously on an ebay mission now. Its a good job the kids aren't around tonight otherwise I'd list them..............
Wish me luckWorking Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
I hope that the Wedding went well Happytogetdebtfree :j:T
I've spent the afternoon - free of all the family who are camping - and listing like mad on ebay. If I sell everything for the start price taking out costs but not adding in any surplus on the postage (which I try to keep to a minimum but I always go for more rather than less particularly on items which only fetch £1) I'll have made £30 towards my £300 target. I'm being realistic since there is nothing in there of particular high value so if I am luckly I'll make £30 from this batch.
A lot more work to do I feel.....Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -

What my plans are when we are DF.....not given it a lot of thought?
We are certainly going to keep the tight hold on the finances that we learnt how to do during this process. I don't want to be running up debts again just because we don't live within our means. I think we've learnt such a lot about how to manage money during this process and these are lessons very well learnt.
We plan to pay off the mortgage (which had at least one lot of debt consolidated onto it previously). We plan to build up savings. Although we have lots of little pots of money put aside to pay for things we've only got one lot of proper savings and these need to be more. We plan to do some bits on the house and really enjoy our earnings both individually and as a family a little more. This may be through uppping some of our budgets which still remain low!
So no we've nothing specific planned but as to edge nearer we'll start putting some of these things into action....what I don't want to happen is for us to take our eye of the ball at this late stage.Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -

How about you elantan what plans are you formulating?
We had a bit of treat weekend this week. OH and the kids went camping with a big group of friends. I saw it was a treat because we had a little outlay to get us there including obtaining a tent. However I was very lucky and i bought a suitably sized and hardly used tent from a friend for £40. I borrowed an extra sleeping bag and carry mat from another friend. However I did have to buy some bits and pieces and pay the shared cost of the weekend. Overally it cost us about £120 which is very much a treat is our books. However we all had a fantastic time which is the most important thing:rolleyes:
The money is going to come from the holiday fund since it could be argued it was a holiday!!
As I said in an earlier post some of our budgets are still tight and I'm looking forward to these improving when we are debt free. Presently our monthly entertainment/misc budget is £30. As you can imagine during the holidays this has long since gone! Clothes is £50 pm which with three growing kids is hard, school shoes for one can nearly wipe this out. I'm dreading trying their school shoes on in a few weeks time....however w'll manage.
I'm planning a quiet day today with the kids. I've a long list of jobs to do including biscuit and cake baking for DD's birthday on Wednesday.
Must get started...Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
