I hope your tenants are well behaved and long lasting.
I'm glad your friend's son is recovering, that must be very difficult to cope with.
Enjoy your Easter holidays, I have one more day before mine.

Oh we didn't keep our flat on purpose, we just couldn't afford to sell it at the time (negative equity) but thankfully we are in a better position now with the remaining mortgage being lower than the value. Phew!

Morning tea
Thank you for the message this morning, I promise I'm not going to hard on myself.
We bought our buy to let in 2013 and it is always intended for the children. I saw my best friend struggle to buy a house anywhere within an hour of her home town. Out you fest had serious health issues when she was small, that may come back. They'd affect her ability to drive and work, so after I inherited a small lump I blew every penny of our savings and bought it. I just think it's a pain at the minute but at least my girls have half an nest egg each. The price has risen dramatically (50k) and of course equity building as mortgage paid. It put us back and meant we took a larger mortgage when we bought our house, but I think best thing we did for their long term security.
I still need to do my pots (thinking extra bank accounts if possible with Halifax) and need to hurry the surveys up. I'm just over £20 with 1poll so want £25 to cash out for my sealed pot. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -
Morning Everybody
K - it is a big op but he's very proud of his scarHe had to have one when he was a few months old and another was always on the cards although I think they were hoping he'd be a bit older before it had to happen. But it's done now. xx
HHD - I hope the tenants are well behaved as well. I watch those programmes and think  But the house is lovely and they seem a nice young couple so fingers crossed they'll treat it with respect. xx
HHG - not being able to sell must have been frustrating at the time, but every cloud has a silver lining. It'll be a nice nest egg in years to come. xx
CG - we're on the same wavelength with it being something for the children in the long term. Either somewhere to live if they need to or something to sell so we can help them out. DS has it all sorted. He's having this house and he says DD can have the other one. He quite often asks what will be his when we've popped our clogs  :rotfl: I suppose thinking ahead is good but I'd quite like to be a part of the future for a few more years! xx0 -

He's a star isn't heDD is like me, the less chattels we have the better, so I don't think he'd come up against much opposition about what was his and hers, but there's a letter just so he knows which boundaries he's not allowed to cross :rotfl: xx

I'm drinking coffee - read as working up the energy to sort the girls box of small toys! Because they where left to clean up themselves after their bath and now it's all mixed up  Should have just done it myself :rotfl:

WB, If that were my job of the day I think I'd be on a loooong coffee break :rotfl: I used to love sorting all DD's bits out but I was fighting a losing battle.
Can clearly remember my sister ringing me in tears because she'd spent all day sorting her 3 DD's little bits out and within an hour of them getting home from school it was a complete mess. At the time I didn't have any children and thought she was loopy a) for doing it in the first place and b) for crying over it :rotfl:
I have since walked in her shoes and can truly understand the emotion :rotfl: xx0
