Morning Tea
Just popping in to say Hi and hope you have a lovely day. Good news on your friends little boy hope he is doing well and lovely to hear you had a nice mothers day.
Great idea for renting, we rent our old house and have done for last 7 years we think of it as a "back up" pension plan. We have been lucky (touch wood) that its never been empty and the current tenant is very happy there still.

Hi Tea - just catching up again (seem to spend my life catching up in here! haha)
Lovely news that you have some tenants for the house - I think it's really worth trying it out and see how you go. We have been renting our first home together (a flat) for the last 4.5 years and although we've needed to cover the mortgage in months where we're in between tenants etc and we don't actually MAKE any money on it, we're like no more credit above and are thinking of it as a pension.
If a time comes where we can't rent it out any longer, then we'll be in a good position to sell it.
So glad your friend's son is doing well - that's so much to go through aged 7. Poor soul.
Glad you managed to get through the rest of your £0 week unscathed. Nice to see you have some extra cash to split between your pots and get your balances up.Have a lovely daySealed Pot Challenge 075

Morning WB
Nothing much to catch up on so don't waste your precious time trying - on my diary at least
: We're not at the van this weekend. Easter Hols start tomorrow though so we've a couple of trips planned for then. We give DS some time at home and then he's happy to come with us for a few days
xx
Morning NMC - hope all is well with youNice to hear you've got a tenant who seems settled in your house. Fingers crossed from what's been discussed and asked our tenants are planning to also stay for a good while. Apart from having to pay pay council tax and keeping on top of it maintenance wise if it stood empty, we're lucky that there's no mortgage on it so we can afford for that to happen for a while, not that we want that to happen of course
xx
Morning HGBuying to let isn't something we'd have thought of doing but it's landed in our laps so to speak. I can definitely see the reasoning behind keeping a house on so you can benefit from it in the future.
My friend amazes me. She's dealing with all her DS's medical problems on her own, and there are plentyholding down a job and has had to get a solicitor involved at school because what they're doing is completely out of order although they've done a swift about turn since that happened and can't do enough for her DS. But she takes it all in her stride and just gets on with it. xx
