  • Your pots are filling up nicely and it's a great idea tracking weekly. Great personal spends total for the year and well done for not using fir family things.

I often buy same things in different colours if I like them. My favourite is m&s ballet shoes and I buy 3 pairs at a time. I've saved a fortune by being off work :(

Hi CG, hope you've had a good day. :) The pots are looking OK aren't they. The only 3 I'll be adding to will be Christmas, Savings and Caravan. The money I put in the others covers what I spend pretty much to the penny so no need for extra in those.

Thanks Wannabe. Fantastic news on the CC front. Hope you feel like a little bit of weight has been lifted off your shoulders. :)

Went to the supermarket for a few bits this morning, withdrew my spends for the week, walked the dogs, did some housework, cooked a ham for tomorrow and then tried very hard not to spend the rest of the day on the laptop

No spending again so that's my 9th so far. Need to go over to the challenge board now and make a note of it before I forget :p x

You are doing so well with the NSD's! and the pots.

    Did you find another top?

  • You're on fire this month tea! I love your pots and when hubby back to normal wages I'm going to set some up. I'm thinking car insurance, child benefit, dog grooming and EF.

My plan is to try and save child benefit for child expenses trips, shoes, clothes (the bits I never really budget for)

I love ham so have dinner envy today!

Morning CG :) I do like my pots although in actual fact they're little plastic bags. :rotfl: I was surprised how much was in each one when I counted them.

Child benefit just gets eaten up on general stuff here as well which isn't so bad because I just take what's needed from the joint account but I should try to put it to one side really. I gave DD hers when she was 16 as part of her lesson in budgeting. Like the rest of us she had good months and bad but it gave her a basic understanding of how much she needed to account for and how far money doesn't go

    Have a great day. x

    Morning :)

    Day 15/31, 9 NSD's, Prolific £1.30 cleared, £1.50 pending, Cash £40 for 14-20th January

Out for coffee today and hoping to pick up another top so it probably won't be a NSD. I have a bit of food shopping to do, the stuff I know I can get cheaper than at Mr T's - which is just over £3's worth this week.

Then it'll be back home for ham, chips and salad and I'll be glued to the TV watching the debates and then 'The Vote'.

Hope you all have a good day. x

Have a lovely day today and enjoy your coffee :D

I can't follow the debate and vote so relying on mse friends to post and keep me updated (in simple terms I can understand :o)

It's hard to understand what they actually mean even when they say things in a so called simple way Wannabe because their words and statements are so ambiguous. :o I think the outcome of the vote is obvious, it's the bit that comes next that intrigues me. x

Well, I didn't buy a top but I did spend £3.50 which means I now have £36.50 cash left for the week. I could have only spent £2.50 but I treated OH to a block of fruit and nut because he's worth it......sometimes. :rotfl: I'll look for the top later in the week. It was just one shop too many to go in today.

I've uploaded my receipts to Receipt Hog and I'm on 429 coins with 4 receipts still waiting to clear.

And that's about it for today really. Hope you've all had a good one. x
