    Evening :)

Day 22/30, Money etc. to be updated tomorrow

Blimey, is it 5 days since I've been on here. Seems like I've been stuck in the bedroom for the majority of that time painting and re-painting walls. Glad to say that particular part of the make-over is now finished so it's time to move on to the skirting boards, new window sill and new blinds, none of which involves me doing any work which makes me very happy indeed.  :D

There are positive Covid cases in DS's year group and some of his friends are now at home self isolating for 2 weeks. Not him though because he's not had any lessons with any of the pupils who've tested positive. However, 5 pupils were called out of one of his classes yesterday who had been in contact with the positive pupils. I can't get my head around whether the fact he's been in contact with pupils who've been in contact with the positive cases is something to worry about. It's a bit like the nursery rhyme "there was an old woman who swallowed a fly", the knock on effect seems never ending.

DD is back to the house tomorrow and starts Uni again next week. It's going to seem so quiet without her.

Had a lovely time at church with the ladies filling the shoe boxes. I came home with the job of sewing some little bags for a box of marbles somebody had donated. I've made 12 and probably have enough marbles for another 20 bags. Hoping to get them finished tomorrow.

I've completely lost track of money this week, but will make a concerted effort to sort it all out tomorrow. Hope you've all been keeping well and the new lock down rules aren't messing up your plans too much. Stay safe. xx

    Good to hear from you.
As you say you will miss your dd.
Glad that you enjoyed the shoe boxes.
    Take care   xx

    Afternoon :)

    Day 23/30, Prolific £13.63 cleared, £1.89 pending, Week 4 spends £30
    Shoppix: 2030/3200  RH: 953/1500

Just a quick update and a slap on the wrist to myself that I'm late again doing this. There was less than £5 left over from last week's spends so that will just go in the charity pot. I've not really much idea where the rest went but I know it will be to do with the bedroom make over. I really need to start monitoring myself again this week. Whenever something is going on that involves spending here and there I tend to lose track of money very quickly. Went into town today and spent £6.50 on some craft bits so this week's spends is now down to £23.50.

    Pots are:
    Savings: £135
    DS Savings: £90
    Dog: £6
    Hair: £20
    Birthdays: £54 + £45
    Christmas: £200 + £35
    Paypal: £59.82

The guy is coming soon to look at the skirting boards etc, if he turns up. We know him and he's done quite a lot of work for us, but he's got a brain like a sieve and rarely turns up without us having to ring and remind him.  :D

Hope you've all had a good day. xx

    Morning Everybody :)

A little bit of spending today as I'm off out for coffee in the park with a couple of friends. Last time I went I was wearing my sunglasses, today I'll be wearing my coat. :D  I've also ordered a long arm stapler but I'll update the figures another time. I remembered where some of last weeks spends went. I bought a popper/snapper kit off The Bay which hasn't arrived yet which is why I'd forgotten. It's a bit like a press stud but not, more like the sort of snapper you find on pencil cases etc. which is exactly what I've bought it for.

I've taken advantage of the dry spells to get some washing done and on the line to dry. Hubby is now on rain duty, but I have no expectations of a job well done :p The washing might well be a case of rinse and repeat - literally.

OK, off to get ready now. Have a good day everybody. xx

    Evening :)

    Day 24/30, Prolific £14.54 cleared, £1 pending, Spends £11.84

Had a lovely meet up with my friends. I was glad I took my 'big' coat though because we sat outside for 2 hours and towards the end I was starting to feel a bit chilly. I bought a round of drinks which cost £6.15 and the stapler was reduced to £5.51 so a total spend today of £11.66. DD ordered the stapler for me through Ama*on Prime and she gets free next day delivery so it should be with me tomorrow. Hope my poppers arrive as well. I've sewn 20 foam pencil cases and I need them to finish the job.

We've been owed £650 for a few weeks now from a company that's supposed to be working for us and although the money has been promised on several occasions it's still not come in. They said they would definitely pay today but nothing's gone in so I just text them to ask if they transferred it. The cheeky bu&&ers said they'd been busy all day but if they get a minute they might do it tonight. Might!!! I'm literally sat on my hands to stop me from texting back. As soon as it hits the account a letter terminating their contract will be winging its way over to them. I don't come across many people who irritate me so I've forgotten how frustrating it is not being able to tell somebody exactly what you think of them.  :D

Hope you've all had a lovely day. xx

Thanks Beanie :) I love your bumblebees analogy. Makes me smile every time I read it. We seem to have plenty of them in our lives at the moment. I think we need to swat a few.  :D

    Morning :)

Yes Monz, we finally got the money, but not that night, the day after. Considering we should have had it at the end of July we've been more than patient which is why the 'might do it' attitude really annoyed me. We had to escalate the whole thing last week which has obviously irritated them, so I think the person is playing some sort of mind games now. We said we needed to speak to him on Monday and got a text back saying he wasn't in until Tuesday which just isn't true. Thing is, games are only fun if more than one person is playing and we're not. As hubby says, we'll just let him crack on.  :D

The guy came to measure up for the skirting boards and hopefully he'll be able to do the job in a couple of weeks. That's the bedroom pretty much finished then apart from buying a new bed.

I'm just sat here waiting for the shops to open. I want some glitter card  so I can make some boxes so just a small spend today. I think I'll cash out Prolific as well. I tend to do it towards the end of every month then start over. I've not been on the laptop that much this month but I've still managed to get a few surveys in and have £14.54 to cash out.

Apart from that it's just going to be a quiet Sunday. Hope you all have a good one. xx
