I have a cold sore on my nose. I am prone to them but usually they are very accommodating and erupt up my conk not on the end of it! To be honest I look a b*gg*r so I'll be staying in the house as much as possible this week. Trust me there is nothing positive to be found in this situation - not even that I might not spend anything.  :s:D xx

Sorry tea I shouldn't but this made me smile! You have such a lovely way with words! Hope your conk is looking better? And it's greAt to see You posting more regularly - you were missed! Xx

That's very kind of you to say BB50 and don't worry about smiling - I'd be sympathetic but secretly rolling around laughing at the image conjured up by a cold sore on the end of somebody's conk :) It's not looking too bad today and hopefully when I go out shopping tomorrow people will be more focused on searching for the ever elusive pasta and loo rolls than looking at my nose.  :D Have a great day. xx

I'm out today and it'll be interesting to see what, if any, difference there is in the shops compared to last week. I'm wondering if it's the supermarkets that are mostly affected. We have a Mr T's but I rarely go in that and tend to stick to the shopping centre where we have quite a lot of bargain stores. Have a lovely day. xx

    Afternoon Everybody :)

    Day 10/31, Spends £30.41

Did my usual mini shop today and got everything I needed. I went in several shops, through choice, and although the shelves aren't looking quite as full as last week there are still plenty of painkillers, loo roll, soap and pasta to be had in all of them - in fact in I**land you get a free pack of pasta if you buy 3 sauces and there was plenty to be had.

I picked up a 4 pack loo roll and a bottle of hand soap. I’ve got both things on order from Mr T but I’m not convinced they will turn up this week and I need them. They've already knocked soup pasta off my list and I can't have any more than 1 each of the loo roll and soap. I could have really stocked up this morning but I refuse to buy more than we need because I don't want to make it worse for other people, although it doesn’t look like anybody here would struggle at the moment.

I also spent £1.59 out of my spends on a couple of bits - some stickers and a notebook. Just need to upload my receipts onto Shoppix and RH then that's the last of the MSE-ing done for the day. Hope you're all having a good one. xx

  • My pasta didn't come on my Mr T order yesterday 😡. I didn't order toilet roll so I've no idea if that would have arrived. There seem to be supplies available if you shop around a bit and the media seems to think that the shortages will be temporary as the shops will restock soon. It is a bit bonkers 🤣. Luckily we have extras stocks of some things still left from our Brexit panic buying ;) so as long as I can source cheap loo roll in the next few days I'm not going to worry 🙂.

Sorry Beanie, I didn't look for any. I don't like it. I always feel I'm rubbing the dirt and germs in rather than cleaning them off  :D I prefer a wet wipe or to wash my hands. I'll look next time I'm out and get a bottle to send to you if you're struggling to find any and want some? Hubby says vodka in a pump action bottle would be just as good. I expect he's right, but I don't trust myself. It'd be one squirt on the hands, 2 squirts down the neck :p xx

That's the only problem with on line shopping isn't it HHD. You don't get warned it's not coming, it just doesn't turn up. I hope they're not picking on us ;) while letting people shopping in store have 5 of everything, which still seems excessive to me. If my loo roll and soap turns up I'll have double bought this week by default. I'm not particularly wanting anti-bacterial anything, soap is soap to me and as long as basic hygiene is followed I think that's all we can do, but I have been able to order a packet of anti-bac soap refill rather than the actual bottle. We shall see what happens.

DS is still miffed his school is open and even more so because another local one has shut for a week as one of their pupils has tested positive. I tend to think the writing is on the wall regarding this but for now everything is as normal. I hope you're school isn't affected. I know you've said you wouldn't get paid and on top of everything else, that's obviously a worry for a lot of people. xx
