Morning Choccygirl - I've never heard of receipt hog so I'll have a look at that. My biggest spend is the weekly shop but I don't get a proper receipt for that, not sure if that makes a difference? Patience and time is something I have a lot of
Hello and welcome Dfwprincess. Compared to other diaries it's not very exciting and the debt isn't that much, but it's still debt and it needs to go .... as quickly as possibleIf I can end the month with a bit of money left over and more importantly knowing where the rest has gone I'll be happy.
Day 29/12, 17 NSD's, £31.87 cash, Prolific £11.39 cleared, £3.20 pending, £12.50 Christmas gift money left to spend
Off into town today with DD to have her eyes tested. I'm going to do a bit of shopping while I'm there. It's just a few food items that I know I can get cheaper from this supermarket and every saving helps.
I might have a look at Christmas cards for next year, then again I might hold out for another week or so. Depends how many are left on the shelves.
I could do with a new notebook and also a new calendar. I can't function without a notebook by my side and I'm down to a few pages left in the one I've got so I'm starting to get 'itchy' :rotfl:
Have a great day everybody1 -
Re : receipt hog
Food my biggest spend too, but fuel etc all adds up. I bought a sample tile 59p abd even scanned that. I'm using it for the long haul that's for sure. As a family we all enjoy scanning abd it's become a game. The youngest will Wimbledon recipiets too wilhich helps!
I've given up on a family calendar because could never remember who, where, what abd when. We've gone completely digital and use free app called time tree. It's a life saver since I'm not driving. Hubby knows where each of DC needs to be and when.
Enjoy the shopping xFinally Debt Free 24/4/20231 -

Choccygirl - I'm getting on the case with receipt hog tonight. I think I have 4 receipts from the spending I did today; not sure whether I should be happy I've got some to scan or sad that I've spent money :rotfl: I'm impressed with your digital diary, I could never handle something like that, give me a pen and paper any day
dfwprincess - I don't like the sound of those gremlins. I'd hate to lose what I've posted. It's hardly riveting stuff but it's mine, so I hope they keep their little gremlin hands off this diary!
Back later to update spending and to report on whether I was technologically advanced enough to do the receipt hog thing.1 -
Hope you've had a good day

Thanks Wannabe - you too. I'm sat here thinking about what you have to do all on your own when littlest is poorly. I know it's a case of just having to get on with it, but honestly it would make a lot of people crumble so I hope you realise how strong you are. x
dfwprincess - I was lurking on here when everybody's diaries kept disappearing and I was gutted for them. I know Wannabe's went a couple of times. I'm so glad, that like yourself, people persevere and start again.
Right I've tried receipt hog and got it up and running with a bit of help from hubby. Then I photographed my receipts, filled in a little questionnaire and had a go on the slot machine :rotfl: By the time I'd done all that I had 195 points but when I tried to verify my device it wouldn't let me. Plus I loaded a receipt from Iceland that hasn't come up but one from John Lewis has, so I'm flummoxed. I'll try and verify the device again tomorrow but if it won't work I'm giving up. I have loads of patience but none at all for technology that doesn't behave itself
Today I spent £2.10 on a calendar, diary and notebook and £1.25 on a pack of half priced Christmas cards. All other spends were food/house related so nothing to do with me
Hope you've all had a lovely day1 -
That's a great start on receipt just keep thinking it takes time. I joined on 14/11 and currently have 938 but handful of receipts waiting to load. Once you hit 100 coins for that week every receipt is only worth 5 points. I'm too tight to lose the extra 20 coins so have them sat waiting in my kitchen scales.
I'm going to keep slogging and will use mine towards Xmas 2019. Being off work it's something else to potter with so kills two birds with 1 stone. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20231 -
Choccygirl - have you actually cashed anything out from RH yet? It still won't let me verify my phone and I'm wondering if it's because I've not got enough to cash out yet? Need to get my head around how it actually works with regards to receipts/timings etc.
Day 30/31, Cash £28.52, 17 NSD's, Prolific £11.39 cleared, £3.20 pending, £12.50 Christmas gift money left to spend.
Spending a lazy day in the house today doing a bit of ironing, sorting some paperwork out etc. Also started to take down some Christmas decs. So far the Nativity display has gone, the cards are down and a tray has been moved off the coffee table. Nobody has even noticed :rotfl: We're visiting family tonight for a take-away but it's their treat so won't cost us anything :T Really looking forward to it. We don't go out in the evening very much so it all feels very exciting ..... I am very easily pleased
Hope everybody is having a lovely Sunday.1
