I think it's a man ploy, making it far too strong. I rarely have one, but never let him make it.
Well done on the cleaning. I've achieved nothing today as can't tear myself away from the DDay rememberance program on the BBC. Amazing coverage and have found it so emotional to watch. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -

Day 6/30, Prolific 35p pending, Spends £35.75
All the surveys from yesterday cleared pretty much straight away so I was able to cash out again last night :T Need to have a look at the joint account today. Even though I paid the CC off last month I still owed £13.76 interest so need to account for that.
I've decided to raid my savings and put £25 in Christmas Charity and £40 into Christmas. This means both pots have reached their target so I can cross them off this years list. It's all swings and roundabouts really but I may as well use the savings money as it's just sat there doing nothing.
Off out tonight for a catch up with friends so my spends will be looking sorry for themselves tomorrow. But it's payday again on Saturday so not long to wait to start over.
Weather is lovely here today. Hope you all have a great day. Xx
Well done on the savings reaching the targets. Sorry to hear you have been charged the interest, very frustrating I will never understand how these companies work the interest out!! Perhaps that explains why I am not so great with money !!
Hope you have a lovely time with your friend.
Have fun

I couldn't watch more than a few minutes at a time and always seemed to catch it when one of the veterans was talking about what happened. I found it really emotional as well because they were so young, just a few years older than DS. It's hard to imagine what they went through and saw at such a young age. I know we need to move forward, but we really should never forget what those brave boys did for us. xx0 -

I was a bit irritated NMCI knew I'd owe something but didn't expect it to be that much. It's done with now though thank goodness.
Had a lovely evening out thank you. xx0 -

Oh that doesn't sound good Beanie. What sort of things are you short of? Do you not have any links with one of the big stores? If not, I hope the community is able to rally round and help. How many people do you help every week? xx0 -

Day 7/10, Prolific 51p cleared, Spends 1st-7th June £12.75
The meal wasn't as much as I'd budgeted for so I have a bit more money left over than I thought I would have. Can't see me spending anything today so will divide it between the pots later on.
No trip to the van this weekend as DS is doing something with friends so it's a quiet one at home. Apart from that nothing much happening here.
Hope you all have a lovely day. xx0 -
My hubby is serving so it's always a stark reminder the damage war can do. That generation were heroes when you approx 75% of them had been called up.
We've got a lovely chilled out weekend planned. Both teenagers are shattered and in desperate need of sleep and fresh air. School is ramping up the pressure with end of year exams and it's starting to take a toll. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -
Yes, I can imagine it feels very close to home with your husband being in the forces.
Hope the DC's manage a bit of down time this weekend. The pressure schools put pupils under is ridiculous these days. DS always seems to be having some test or other. I'm that old I can only remember end of year exams and one set of mocks before O'levels where the biggest drama was about what to wear because it didn't have to be uniform. :rotfl: None of this weekly and mid-term testing palaver back in the dayxx
