i Think it says a lot about you as parents , the fact that they would still go with you.

Pots are looking goods I did manage a £1.60 survey yesterday with PA so that should take me over min again so another £4 something for sealed pot.

That's what I was thinking CG - obviously we are still young and trendy and fun enough for them to want to hang out with us :rotfl: but I'm sure the 'free' part also helps :D

Well done on the survey. :T I was on a roll a few weeks ago but then they just stopped. :( xx

    Morning :)

    Day 23/31, Prolific £1.80, Spends 22nd-31st May £30

It's going to be a bit of a spendy day today. Both dogs are at the vets for a check over. Initial cost was £32 each and when I asked what I got for that they said gland squeezing :rotfl: weight and flea check. I know how much they weigh and they're treated for fleas and wormed regularly so I asked them to knock that bit off. We're now at £23 each, so a saving of £18 :T If I didn't have such a delicate constitution I'd have donned the rubber gloves and done the other bit myself to save nearly £50 :D

Also need to pop to the garden centre. We moved an ornamental tree from the front and planted it in the back garden so I need a few bedding plants for the tub it came out of.

Then we need to go and vote.

Apart from that it's just another day here. :)

Hope you all have a good one. xx
  • It's lucky you asked for a breakdown of the costs TF2 as that's quite a saving. It's probably worth £50 not to have to do the other procedure :rotfl:.

I hope you find some plants you like at the garden centre and you won't be trampled in the crowd at the polling station :rotfl:.

:rotfl: yes, you're probably right regarding the procedure HHD. Last time we voted we were the only ones in there so it'll be interesting to see if today is any different.

Hope you enjoy your morning with DS. xx
  • Thank you :).

Today has been pretty productive and I'm just sat having a brew before I go and do some work in the garden.

We went to the vets and all is good. We saw one of the owners who is very old school and for £23 each both dogs got what they went for, she took great delight in showing me and DS the outcome  plus we also got a couple of nails clipped, ears checked and hair plucked, weighed, had their hearts listened to, eyes and teeth checked and were given a general good going over. Nothing more than I would have expected tbh but not for £32, so I'll have to remember to query the price next time as well as I saved myself £18. :D

I spent more than I thought I would at the garden centre because I bought some plants for the back garden. I'm trying to change the look of it a little bit. We've done all sorts to it over the years and I've loved every project, but I'm yearning for a more cottage garden look these days so want to soften a couple of areas up.

DD thinks the interview went well and will hear whether she got the job or not tomorrow. Apparently there were well over 200 applicants which I can believe for a part time job in town, especially as it would be a fun place to work if you're a student. Out of that many applicants, she was one of 10 who got an interview. So even if she doesn't get the job we're really proud of her for getting that far.

Right, off to do some planting now. xx
  • I hope DD gets the job and you're right, she did very well to get to the interview stage.

A cottagey garden sounds lovely :).
