Morning!
Iv just noticed I have a financial association with my ex partner on Experian!
It’s a joint bank account and I remember now I added him to the account when we was together! He couldn’t get a bank account because he has awful credit history. He no longer uses the account. How much is this effecting me getting credit? Also how do I go about getting him removed?
Iv read that they also check financial associates credit history when you apply for things. Is this the case with eligibility checkers?

If the account is now closed, file a notice of dissociation with the CRAs.
If it's still open, you may need him to agree to close the account.0 -
I don’t want to close the account it’s still open and I still use it, he has agreed to come into the bank with me so i can remove him from the account.
I should then be able to file the dissociation?0 -
Yes, once you have no joint products.0
