  • Well done for chasing it up! :)
I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

    I love my job

  • Interesting - I thought it would be an automated process that would remove the defaults

it usually is automated, they must have made a booboo somehow. For instance my wife had an equifax default automatically removed on December 30th

    Thought I’d share this

Just rang EE about the poor service at my work place and at home, they’ve agreed to give me my line rental back this month and every month going forward until the issue is fixed. A problem with their masts or something.

That’s an extra £80 towards the marbles balance until the issues fixed.

    Every little helps

  • Well done for chasing it up - I have heard before Equifax are known for not removing things automatically. I actually had one at work the other day where someone's adverse was visible (despite the fact it should've dropped!).

Really bad, because potentially incorrect data is life-changing.

    Default Gone from Equifax! :)

Regarding the capital one account, should I close this account? It’s only a £300 limit so can’t see it doing my report any favours?

Keep it open. It's only a small limit but it's helping your utilitisation, which is currently awful but would be even worse if you closed it.

Keep working on lowering the marbles balance.

I can tell from your focus and determined efforts you will get there, just keep at it and hammer the debt. Every time you think about spending money remember the grief debt brings, spend when you can afford to not when you can't. Good luck.
