Wait until January when the default drops off and try an eligibility checker for a BT card.
You won't know the limit you'll get but you'll at least know the possible likelihood of being accepted before applying0 -
What’s people’s thoughts on the default situation? Will my position greatly improve when it’s removed?0

...yeah...much more favourably...I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job0 -
Thanks for your replies everyone.
I will see what my position is like in January with the default removed because I can’t get anything close to a decent rate on anything at the minute.
I will post back with an update

3 days until the default is removed! 😊😊😊
6 years iv waited for this
Is it sad that I’m excited to see no big horrible red box on my report?
I don’t care anyway 😊😊

It’s all going on nursery fees for my little girl so I can work, rent, council tax, petrol, food, general household bills, then my car finanace, credit cards. My nursery fees are not far from half my wage a month. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

That’s still 3 days they could apply for a CCJ or could already be in the process of applying for one0

@gary, at no point did the OP state she hasn't paid the default....
OP it's worth checking your file now and see if the default has been removed. All of mine have tended to come off up to a week before the actual 6 year anniversary.
Noddle, clearscore and mse credit club will give you your report from all three agencies.
Giffgaff also do a credit report, same as Noddle, but it's updated daily
It's worth checking them and then doing an eligibility checker for a BT card. An eligibility checker won't harm your score0
