Cherries in brandy, omg ... so good! I wonder if Asda sell miniatures of spirits in their online orders? Might splash out. One thing I need is paper - I need to write out a few to do lists, so that they're instantly accessible. With the water, for instance: yes, recycle existing supplies and refill bottles. Test the expensive filter I bought but have never used. Check how to make an emergency filter (I have a sack of no-additive local charcoal sitting in my airing cupboard to start making it, but I need to know details!). Buy new water purification tablets - I have some, but they're *really* old, and I take them on trips. Haven't been on any trips for ages, but I'm petsitting at someone else's house in the new year.2023: the year I get to buy a car10

Has it got the best part of two years to BBE?Finally spotted some in Tesco's, it was 400g for £4 though. Got a tin just in case. The Amazon price seems good.

Veg wars are on again. Sainsbury Christmas veg is 19p each (white potatoes, carrots, parsnips, Brussels, red and white cabbages). I've bought a couple of each that I like and this week I'll be making soup to stock up the freezer for easy lunches.

Lidl? Echalion shallots, red cabbage, sprouts, brussel sprouts, carrot and "mini roasters."
Didn't see any red cabbage in my local Aldi. Did get a small red cabbage in Lidl rather than one that won't all be used.
Edit, not double sprouts; parsnips. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing10 -
Thanks everyone for Nido prices. Just rechecked the Amazon price and yes £5.10 for 900g with subscribe and save. We have Prime so no added delivery charge and BBE 07/23. They have the 1.8 kg tins and the 2.5k but the 900g suits us. (Our Tesco rarely has it in stock). As you say Si_Clist, the BBE is years over the date stamp. I'm not a stickler for dates on most things though.
I check Amazon prices against Tesco and they often come up considerably cheaper with s&s. Probably as often, they don't!10
