Oooh, @daz378, I'll be thinking of you & wishing you well for the next few days. Please let us know how you're getting on...
I've done my probable-one-and-only weekend's trading for this year; did quite well in financial terms, and really enjoyed being back together with my "gang" of fellow-traders & customers, but now I'm thinking we were all rather relaxed on the mask-&-distancing front after the first few hours; it's hard to keep a mask on for 8+ hours. So I'll be keeping a close eye on myself, if you know what I mean, for the next few days. I did end up coughing a lot yesterday, but I suspect that was just from the amount of dust kicked up! I'm double-jabbed but I'm also aware that that doesn't mean I'm 100% protected; I had a clear impression that quite a lot of the older customers think that they are & aren't aware of the scientific concern that the protection may wane over time. Oooer...

Daz, hope your results come back negative! I'll be thinking of you.
Thriftwizard, I agree that some folks seem to think this has all gone away, and don't realise that their immunity from the jabs is limited, especially those who were jabbed early in the year.
We're still wearing our masks when we go into buildings and using hand sanitizer, but we see many who choose not to, although I wouldn't like to wear one for 8 hours! We've spent the last 18 months or so being careful and we don't want to fall now. I know this is personal choice, this is just how I feel. We still need to be kind to each other.2025 Fashion on the ration

Oh @daz378 I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope you bounce back quickly. If it makes you feel better, my colleague's brother in law caught it (also double jabbed) last week and he is an adult leukaemia survivor. He already seems to be over the worst of it and it has just been like a bad cold for him. I'm sure that was the jab doing it's thing, and it should do the same for you. Rest up, keep your fluids up, take care.February wins: Theatre tickets15

I've been very impressed how you changed from murderous stalker over on the Fence as I searched for knitting patterns for chainmail. You changed the horrible big brother is watching you avatar to your nice fluffy cat and stopped the pictures of Ming the Merciless and all seemed fine but plenty of veg? Are you an imposter trying to trick me now I've stopped looking over my shoulder and relaxed?pollyx

Daz, you know the score, rest, fluids..... in bed try sleeping some of the time on your front. Monitor your symptoms, if breathing becomes an issue get help. On the positive side it sounds like you work hard so a couple of weeks off resting will do you good. One life - your life - live it!15

9v batteries!Check you have a couple of spare ones just in case the batteries in your smoke alarm run out 😃 i’ve got a good stock of AAs and various others but I had to endure my smoke alarm intermittently beeping for several hours this morning, all for the sake of a square battery. Also lightbulbs. I’m probably going to order a half dozen from the electrical shop in Lee and replace some of the uselessly ridiculous energy saving bulbs that I got from EDF. I don’t have a clue what to look for when I go into places like B&Q to look for lightbulbs. I don’t mind paying a bit more if it means I don’t have to strain my eyes all winter 😃15
