Must be the day for it @boazu - I've just had confirmation that my GP will be referring me to the long-Covid clinic as they've set up a locally-funded one. We weren't covered by any of the national ones. Hopefully others will now get their dates for second vaccines, as I know my mum and many of her friends in their 80s and 90s have had their first one but haven't had any information about the second. I expect the supply chain issues with some places not getting their deliveries and others getting extra batches as well as the factory issues in Belgium are making it pretty complicated.

Glad to see the powers that be are getting their vaccine and the long covid clinic into gear - hoping MiL will get her second shot before too long.
Prepping -wise, OH is off to the farm shop in a bit to stock up on our fruit and veg, rather than going to the supermarket. We;ve a supermarket click and collect booked for Thursday but going to the farm shop will reduce the amount of fresh we'll need. i really want to stock up on oat milk as we've got through quite a lot of that recently.I wanna be in the room where it happens17 -
No news of my Covid jab yet but I have just got off the phone from the doctor. He rang to give me the results of some tests and talk about a long-term plan which is very reassuring.I was planning something fun and a change of scene for tomorrow afternoon as I have my now regular face-to-face appointment with my therapist. It’ll probably be down to the village like last week to collect a prescription. I’ve just remembered that I need to put in a repeat as well so that will be ready to collect after next weeks session. Not much but it’s the first start to building a routine 😃
I can’t believe my first grandson is a year old today and I’ve only seen him twice. I did have a lovely phone call from him a couple of weeks ago – obviously he had a little help with staging from mum and dad but he wanted to show me his new ‘Big Brother’ shirt 😍 things better be better by August when the new baby is due because I’ve missed out too much already.16 -

Is this concerning, especially as UK government favours the apparently less effective one as it's cheaper.

Greenbee I wish it was it was that easy - the water is coming up through the bottom of the fireplace as the house is over 200 years old with the original open fire. I love this house and refuse to let this blip get to me. We are watching the weather forcast and hoping that this week it doesn't do what it says.
We have moved over 300 miles and wouldn't change our decision now for anything as we are living in a beautiful place.“HUMAN BEINGS MAKE LIFE SO INTERESTING. DO YOU KNOW, THAT IN A UNIVERSE SO FULL OF WONDERS, THEY HAVE MANAGED TO INVENT BOREDOM. (Death)” - Sir Terry Pratchett16 -

Amazon just delivered three times my usual amount of cat food. Fresh milk is a bit of a problem and I’m sick of long life. I’m exhausted from cooking and eating, and disheartened because I haven’t put on a single kilogram in weight. There must be some good news! 😃15 -
I've given up posting from my mobile if it's longer than a sentence, so forgive me for not commenting over the weekend. I've lost too many typed posts and I no longer have the patience for dealing with that.Polly, thank you for sharing that wonderful memory of your husband. I am so sorry that he suffered the attack, but grateful that he was spared the memory of it.Machasraven, so sorry to hear about the floods and wishing so hard for you that it doesn't get worse and you, and your house, are safe.Feeling a bit swamped by it all at the moment. My friends mum is on a ventilator. My neighbours work colleague passed away at the weekend. It all feels so close, and I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel at the moment as they keep talking about different potential dates for easing lockdown. And despite not mentioning anyone being ill in front of daughter, as she knows about the germs, we get frequent questions about it. And she obviously worries that we will get it and either be too poorly to look after her, or die, and I hate that she is worrying about that so much at only 4. She shouldn't have to.I am, however, going to get a UK holiday booked up for mid July as we need something to look forward to. I am going to make sure there is insurance in place and/or a covid guarantee with the holiday park so it can be moved to a later date if needs be/still not safe.February wins: Theatre tickets17

euronorris, CBBC Newsround have some really good information for children from Drs Xand and Chris about the virus. It might still be a bit too old for your 4 year old, but worth a look. There's a good video explaining about social distancing, using dominoes, for example.2025 Fashion on the ration
