Thrifty, I'm thinking of those elastic thingies with spiky bits that some people wrap round their shoes in icy weather. Sorry, that's as technical as I can get, I know there is a special name for them. If you had those on you would feel a bit more secure. I dont know if they do them in child sizes, but it would help the walking children. And perhaps they could be adapted to go round pram wheels. Can"t think of anything else that you could do to keep yourselves safe.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Yaktrax @monnagran (other brands are available). Apparently you can achieve the same effect on pram wheels using cable ties - there’s probably something on YouTube.15

Well 2020 has a final kick in the teeth on the last day! Dad went into hospital for a biopsy and procedure on 29th. Prior to that he had a negative test on the 9th December when he had another investigation. Since then he has barely left the house except to go for a walk, no shops, houses etc. He went down early morning on 29th only to be told they had not had his covid test result back ( taken several days before at the hospital) , he had to wait in the carpark and was finally let in. Procedure and anaesthetic went fine, recovery fine, then all hell broke loose! They had, had the wrong tests back and my dad was actually positive for covid! Whole department now having to be closed overnight for deep clean, two nurses who ate their sandwiches with my dad having to isolate, and my dad feeling guilty despite doing everything correctly. So he and step mother now isolating. On top of all this he had a phone call to say that his brother in law, in the same hospital with Covid, is not expected to survive the next 24 hours. Well 2020 you can just do one!!! Roll on 2021, hopefully we will all come though this nightmare, have our inoculations and enjoy "normal" times with our loved ones.

So sorry Elaine. Wishing your Dad a speedy recovery. And he really shouldn't feel bad about it, he did everything right, like you said. He had no way to know.February wins: Theatre tickets21
