Well I can add Cwmbran High to that as a friend of my son is having to isolate. So far St Albans havent had a case but I feel its only a matter of time. I hear tonight Torfaen is going into lock down from tomorrow at 6 pm. I am literally on the border with Monmouthshire so I am still lock down free unless they decide to do a South Wales or whole Wales lockdown.nannywindow said:Elaine sorry to be the doomsayer but there is a case in Blaenavon juniors and West Mon secondary...... that's a bit too near for comfort and doesn't bode well for here.nan
Today I decided to stuff the news and go on a fun ride with my friends ( on horses). Lets face it we are at least two metres in the air and outside so unlikely to infect anyone. I have avoided the news all weekend until this evening as it was getting so doomsday like and constantly repeating covid figures. I am pretty much sorted for lock down, I will do my usual shop tomorrow, I am out of wine!!!! I will buy my usual amount and add a couple of things for preps. Not being frivolous but , to hell with it, I am buying extra beer, cider, wine, chocolate and ice cream!

Yesterday I started to amend my Tesco order, and several things I'd put on it were unavailable (first time for a while). For some reason I closed the page down without finishing, and when I went back to it today it was still showing the changing your order screen, but all except one of the previously unavailable items were back on.MrsCD said:On Monday I did my initial A$da order, to book the slot on Thursday. My Dad fancied some lentil soup for a change so I put a couple of tins in the order. Tuesday, I added both DD's orders to ours and Dad's, only to be told the soup wasn't available. So I changed them to lentil and bacon soup. Thursday morning I got the email receipt, with a sub for the lentil and bacon soup. Guess what? The sub was what I had wanted in the first place! You just couldn't make it up. 😅
If I'd finished amending the order yesterday I would have had to remove/replace those items. Very hit and miss.

Those with A$da priority, has anyone had an email saying they are extending it? I haven't had one, need to check with my Dad but don't want to worry him unnecessary as he is not great with technology.12

Possibly worth laying off the bacon for a bit as one of the big factories has had a mass outbreak 🙁16

My A$da account this morning showed my slot for next week as already reserved with my priority pass. I've just checked again and my delivery/priority pass has been extended to 31 March 2021 and no charge.
Such a relief as I'm shopping for four households, DH and me, Dad, DD1, and DD2, all in separate houses, and all with health issues so don't want to go near a supermarket yet!2025 Fashion on the ration

However, from 1st November some changes will apply, including slot pricing and a small fee for orders under £40'.So Tesco and Morrisons have recently upped their charges round here, Asda is following and that only leaves Sainsburys in this area. I can still get a delivery for £1 delivery charge with them but for how long? I guess business is flowing in now - no incentive to keep charges down. .
