Yes, I've noticed them bringing in some restrictions again.
But honestly, I feel the media has a lot to answer for this time. For days they were reporting it as a problem again (when it wasn't yet), and using old photos from March to whip people into a frenzy. It only became clear that the photos were from March when you read the article. If you only saw the thumbnail for the article, it would be easy to have thought it was a photo from that day with their clickbait title. They literally created the panic buying!February wins: Theatre tickets20 -
I hope they don't bring the limit you can order down, furry is a fussy thing due to age and no fangs and the only thing she will eat is in 6 packs.
Just seen the pictures from yesterdays hail in Yorkshire, I think it's going to be a long winter...….I need more wool, tea bags and chocolate...…..

Not sure if anyone is interested, and they don't deliver in all areas, but Iceland have an online offer at the moment of 12 tins of tomatoes for £4. There are a couple more of these offers too, but I only ordered tomatoes because that is all I would use. No sign of shortages there, and they seem to be encouraging bulk buying. And it was easy to get a next day delivery, no shortage of slots. They deliver free if you spend £35, they have good offers and you get a lot for £35 from Iceland, though their range is a bit limited.

Straight from the horses mouth, the food industry.
"The EU is the UK's largest trading partner and the source of 80% of its food, the BRC said. But if the UK is unable to reach a deal with the bloc, the average tariff on food it imports would be over 20%, the trade body warned. Those tariffs include a 48% levy on beef mince, 16% on cucumbers and 57% on cheddar cheese."

Why? Why are people still panic buying? I could just about understand it when they were talking about another lockdown but the restrictions they actually announced aren't a reason to panic buy so why are people still clearing the shelves? All the shops are open and we can still go out. I know they are uttering dark threats about more restrictions if we don't behave but there's time to get stuff in in the ordinary way.
I'm glad I've not run my stocks down. No tinned tomatoes or loo paper yesterday but I still have plenty of both. So when the shops restock and people realise it's not the zombie apocalypse (yet) I might get a bit more but only what I'd normally buyIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!16 -
OK I shouldn't have said that - just on the news that London is on the watchlist which may mean more restrictions for us. But I still won't be joining the hordes in SainsbugsIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!17

This is the thing mary- we know there's no need to stock up but if nobody else knows that and they all panic, then they create the shortages so we end up having to be sheep whether we want to or not.

I’ve just spent the last hour on the telephone to my best friend who immigrated to Australia 12 years. The strict measures there have obviously been effective. Even internal flights are quarantined for 14 days to stop the transfer between states. She cannot believe the numbers that we are throwing up. Their biggest concern has been lack of cheap tacky exports from China.15
