Ye gods, that is just plain dishonest! At least they were masked, although one young man in the foreground has his nose on view. One life - your life - live it!13

Typical of this govt's handling of the whole mess.

Was discussing this with a day cleaner in a high school. I was rather shocked at the crowds of kids on view in crowded indoor areas not wearing masks - as we've been told children over 12 with no underlying health conditions should be doing up here. She said she asked the Head, who told her that staff could not make children wear them.
It's worrying, to say the least.
There's a lot more (and worse) I could say on the matter but I'll refrain in the interests of retaining relative anonymity.14 -
it's not just in schools. I braved my local A$da today and it was carnage. There were 12 people in one aisle at one point, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the pandemic never happened. It makes me all the more determined to keep building up our stores so I can avoid the supermarkets as much as possible.

Japan remains in for a rough time - instead of thousands, its now "As many as eight million people have been asked to evacuate areas of Japan threatened by an approaching storm".
As for schools, & distancing as seen practiced, I'll be sticking with my once-a-week foray at dawn to the supermarket and hurtling back with one son doing the unloading & decontam while I jump in the shower & then go back to my office in the house. The family complain once a week is not enough and I intend to send the apprentice out with a shopping list when their whining has a point. (He's our main vulnerability, but is diligent about handwashing, showers & changing clothes. When I count my blessings, he;s named.)13 -
So it appears "no-deal" is now officially the governments aim from a brief scan of headlines this morning. I think it will really start to hit home for people who may have no even thought of preparing now and we will start to see a dwindling of basics again, between that and the resurgence of the virus.15

I can't think of anything else I need to stock up on, although I have just ordered some extra batteries for some strange reason.11

during one BBC interview, the camera panned away from the two meter spaced desks they were filming, and we saw all the rest of the pupils crammed together. 🙁
