Our PPE fit testing team advise putting your disposable mask or face covering on, get the fit right, then put your glasses on to sit on top, as they won't be fully touching your face so will have some ventilation.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Dont deep sea divers spit on their mask to stop it clouding?12

Is that inside and outside the lenses? I wear glasses and always steam up in the rain.12

Inside. They spit in it and rub it on - not sure if they rinse it. You might find yourself rather socially unacceptable though.11

There are anti-fog sprays for helmet visors, DIY options probably available, if you can't make anything else work.Anchor yourself to the foundations of everything you love.

There is prepping connection here, because if this works, we can stop buying shop biscuits for the stash and henceforth make as required. But whatever ...In this household, I do most of the cooking, and I bake the bread. Beyond that, I make an awesome scone (that's skoan, by the way, not skon), but that's about it. However, what I'd like to do now is bake some biscuits for when my Lady Wife gets back from her solo excursion to the hospital clinic tomorrow, hopefully with some good news. Can anyone please suggest a bulletproof recipe for some good old-fashioned plain and simple biscuits ? Something like a digestive type of thing, or perhaps one with currants or sultanas in? We've also got some dates which I could chop up, but I have no idea if that would work in a biscuit. You perhaps need to know that because of arthritis in one hand, I'm not much good at that business of incorporating fat into flour by doing the thing with the fingers until it all goes like crumbs. We only use wholemeal flour here, for fats it's soft Stork, and we have nothing in the way of machinery like mixers and whatnot.Any suggestions please? We're all doomed12

Hello Si, these are really easy to make, and no rubbing in!
Pre heat oven to 180C
4oz marg, 1 tablespoon golden syrup, melted slowly in a large pan.
Add 6 oz self raising flour, half a teaspoon bicarb and 3 oz sugar, and any optional extras, e.g. 1 teaspoon ground ginger (my favourite) or mixed spice, dried fruit etc.
Mix well in the pan. Place teaspoons of mixture on baking trays and bake for approximately 15 minutes at 180C.
If you want a ' rubbed in' / rolled and 'cut out' biscuit, I have an easy recipe too if anyone wants it. I sometimes use my hand mixer to 'rub in' if my hands are not too good. Just noticed you don't have a mixer, but I have a pastry blender which is a half moon shape with five or six blades, which also works to rub in fats. I got my last one in a*da.2025 Fashion on the ration

Thank you MrsCD. We don't have golden syrup, but I guess a tablespoon of sugar will do instead. We did actually have one of those wire blender thingies, but it decided to wander off somewhere a year or two ago and it's not been seen since ...

Honey works in place of golden syrup if you have that.
