Well, our DD is a teacher in early years, and she thinks that IF, and it's a big if, they go back on 1st June, the head and staff are going to be following the guidelines, and will MAKE it work for them. They had a good meeting, on zoom, and it helped them make sense of what is going to happen. I watched MP Miriam Cates explanation on Facebook, and it helped me with some of my concerns. I'm still not happy at my child returning to school, but she's old enough to decide for herself and I don't blame anyone for keeping their children at home for now.2025 Fashion on the ration

My brother is a Y3 teacher, who cannot see his own 2 grandchildren, but can mix with children who are other people's grandchildren, because that's his job. Without any PPE, and with the added complexity of telling 7 year olds they can't sit next to, or play with, or eat lunch with their classmates. And that they must wash their hands every time they touch their face, or their desk, or the door...
I can only think that this may be to force another spike during the summer holidays...2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

DH thinks I’m crazy as I’m making an ‘extra’ prep box with dried goods that have a 2022 date on and hiding them out of the way. I plan to keep adding to this even just a tin at a time when we get a good date on something so we have a back up winter box of peeps.
We have our prepping cupboard which is in full use at the moment and with everyone at home the kids think this is like ‘shopping’ and it’s going down far too quickly for me!Does anyone else find the stores have started to run low again? With 4 of us in the house it’s a challenge!

My DD has 3 teenagers in the house. Says it would be cheaper to keep horses.13

I know! They just eat and eat! My freezer and batch cooking is doing well but the cupboard is a nightmare.Living the simple life12

Those who say they don’t think the virus is as dangerous as reported... a former uni classmate of mine died of it last week. A healthy 25 year old - a huge shock and very tragic.
Prepping wise I think I need to come up with a way to make sure I’m rotating my supplies properly, I can’t tell what’s at the back of my cupboards with the current set up although I did recently enjoy discovering a surprise packet of vegan salted caramel truffles only a couple of weeks past their BBE, a forgotten about Christmas present.Original mortgage free date: November 2044Current mortgage free date: November 2038Chipping away...17 -

If anyone is still looking for flour, just had an email from these guys saying they have stock: https://www.fwpmatthews.co.uk/bag-size/1-5kg/?instock_products=in&mc_cid=e1d008b3e8&mc_eid=84dd7143b4
Someone said finding paint for kids was difficult. Can't remember who, sorry. But I saw that the entertainer had some stock. If you fall within their delivery range, you might be able to get some from there. Otherwise, if they have it in stock, and you can get a delivery slot, then asda et al usually sell it too. But I appreciate that stock is the problem.February wins: Theatre tickets12
