Paypoint tweeted 4 hours ago it's back up - I think we should be hopeful it should stay mostly up. Not least as it's infrastructure & if it goes down, odds of unrest go up, so it's operational efficiency will be being tracked. I have three paypoint locations on my mental map with phone numbers, so I can call & check if they're cooperating.
Oats are wonderful. You can stretch mince dishes with them, make a basic porridge with bonus toppings/additional whoojits, then move onto the biscuits - hurrah for oats!15 -
And use them for crumble toppings, coat fish with them and use them to clean your face! And I can actually eat them without pain later! Another oats fan...DigForVictory said:Paypoint tweeted 4 hours ago it's back up - I think we should be hopeful it should stay mostly up. Reassure me you don't coat the fish, rub your face with the leftovers then Eat The Remaining Oats?
Actually, if it works for you, I should shut up. I try to keep Judgement for those who go partying, don't distance & cough in public places (or just breathe too close to my parents...)
Just my imagination gets 'way more exercise than the rest of me.14 -

Call yerself MSE?? I think you should put the fish in with the crumble, to reduce waste, cooking time, and washing up.17

Well, I think it would be more frugal to blitz the fish and the oats into a face pack and use that before topping the crumble with it...joined up thinking and still no waste!12

OK, life's too short for me to spend any longer searching the site for that. Can somebody please tell me where to find it?euronorris said:... Going to make some hob nobs (using Twinks recipe from this site) ...

I found it here today: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1953891/hob-nobs
Not the original post, but it is the recipe. I have made them in the past and they are delicious. Even more so if you had some chocolate chips!

Twinks Hob Nobs
8oz S/R flour
8oz sugar
8oz porridge oats
8oz margarine
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1tablespoon hot water
1/2 level teaspoon bicarbonate of soda.
Mix flour, oats and sugar in a bowl. Melt margarine , syrup and water in a pan and when melted add bicarbonate of soda. Pour into bowl with dry mix and mix well. Make into smallish balls and place on a greased baking tray, flatten slightly with a fork. Put into a pre-heated oven 180degC for 15 minutes and leave to cool on the tray. The aim is to get them golden in the oven not brown.
Hope that helps.
