No The Preparedness For When thread was running before I joined in on it, had some good friends there most of whom are now not posting or are not using mse at all.  It's got a lot of useful stuff on it though but hundreds of pages to read through to find it.

Onebrokelady you are very near us, I didn't read the details as presumed something to do with drugs.

Paracetamol reduces fever . I am not a doctor, but it’s meant to reduce temp and fever I have always been told/ known. ?

or is that what it will do in combination with other meds you are on?

I'm wondering if British people will put up with being confined indoors like the continentals seem to be accepting. Frankly I feel worse if I can't get outside for a walk however ill I am. Please God our politicians are sensible enough not to set the police on us for taking a walk.

I spoke to my dad this morning and he was adamant that he and my step mum were going to keep socialising even though they are nearly 80. He spent most of January in hospital with a kidney infection and pneumonia with sepsis. I don’t know how to get through to people like them how serious this is.

I haven't had a chance to go through all posts as a lot has happened since I was last on, so I might be repeating this, but I read that you should use paracetamol and not ibuprofen as ibuprofen can actually make covid19 worse.  It was an article in the Guardian and the French minister is advising it - something to do with inflammation.  First time I had heard this and I do normally tend to use ibuprofen so glad I read it.  I had stocked up on paracetamol anyway so we are all set but I thought it worth mentioning.

I've seen this, but also seen reports debunking it saying it's another fake/hoax.

While I'm here: I want to add to the Thanks that this thread is still going. I mainly lurk and read and started my prepping about 3 years (I think?) ago and - shhh, don't tell anyone! - I have a few shelves of tinned food, a few packs of flour, bicarb of soda (for emergency soda bread!), loads of toilet rolls (NOT panic bought! Just purchased an extra pack every couple of weeks or so!), etc etc ... my point is that this (and previous) thread(s) focussed my mind plus taught me a lot, and the upshot is that I am sitting here feeling *calm* rather than stressed and upset. I can sort of understand why some people are panic buying because that WOULD be Me had I not been here, reading and learning. Again, thank you to all the contributors to this thread and all its predecessors.
