I saw it prominently on the DM website a few hours ago but it seems to have disappeared now. So probably was bollux. Only read the headline so don't know it it was quoting any health agency..........

When you are 72 and work in a shop, on the till, serving the public......ever thought life was trying to tell you something? species redundancy perhaps!9

On the bread substitute front, I bought a packet of tortilla wraps yesterday and noticed the expiry date was 26/07, so - not sure what they're like toasted with jam or marmalade, but think I'm about to make the experiment!

We had a water cooler at work and were strictly forbidden from filling up our own bottles because inevitably the lip of the bottle touched the tap and it was a germ transfer nightmare. People ignored the rules though. I'm fussy and would never use itIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!13

To my surprise, my 60-something mum, who has always been scathing of or bemused by my minor attempts at prepping, asked me to go to the supermarket with her to do a stock-up shop.
I'm having a think about the best thing to do about commuting by public transport in a middle-sized city. Leaving earlier than usual in the morning or earlier or later than usual at the other side of the working day. Gloves and hand gel. Scarf for now, rather than mask, although I've not used it yet. I'm going to avoid the work fridge when possible (actually, it's probably more of a health risk than any virus) and take food flask and drinks daily. Otherwise... continue winter mode.
I have to make a big decision about financial commitment in the next couple of days (property). Trying to figure out what the best way forward is and if it should have any impact on prices.

Q2 - depends - people avoiding viewings = lower prices. If you feel safe in your current place then take advantage of that and ride it out, but people always need somewhere to live, so the old adage about bricks & mortar still holds true (floods/Luftwaffe permitting)

I wouldn't worry about the work fridge too much, unless its absolutely filthy in there of course lol. I'll still be drinking my tea at work, and I need milk for that. I also take my lunch in reusable plastic tubs, so contamination comes from hands touching things only. They can be washed after, and tubs given a wipe down if one feels it necessary, before eating to lessen the risk.February wins: Theatre tickets9
