As half term breaks out down here, there is a certain amount of binge-watching planned as well as bracing healthy walks lugging a rucksack of bricks to avoid misunderstandings.
Here's a keep-your-geeks-sweet tip I heard - make Baby Yoda cookies using the usual angel cutter, just remove the angel's head (the wings become the ears) & go heavy on the green brown & big eyed icing to make it clear this is Baby Yoda.
I'm told it is disconcerting effective & popular across a wide age range...11 -
I don't usually, but I can... I have a small gadget, and a great big jar with paddles, both of which "churn" cream to make butter. We used to do this regularly when the girls were being home-educated, but they're a bit past the "milkmaid" stage now & more likely to be making eclairs or some amazing cake or other.
Just spoken to my brother in Devon & they're really getting a lashing from Dennis now; we were both due to travel to the Devon/Dorset border today for our mother's 94th birthday celebrations, but she insisted we two give the idea of travelling up & leave it to the two brothers who live local to her. It didn't seem too bad this morning, but I'm quite glad we both stayed put now, as things are beginning to fly around up & down our road and the river hadn't yet gotten back into it's bed after Ciara. Also there are some BIG hills (& trees) en route, for both of us; I'd have been driving a relatively high-sided vehicle and he'd have been in a sports car that can be lifted by two (sturdy) people; discretion is the better part of valour!
As it happens Mum's coming up here for a "holiday" later on this week; the brother who's currently caring for her is taking a well-earned break. So youngest brother's coming up here next weekend & we'll have a deferred birthday celebration then. Better safe than sorry...Angie - GC Sept 25: £226.44/£450: 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 28/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)12 -
GF has persuaded me to take us for a spa day next week. There is some time to kill between lunch & treatment appointments so I thought I should order some gym shoes. (Not had any since I was at school.)Just pulled my shoulder muscle trying them on!13

I used to work in a creamery and sometmes, either by accident, or by design at Christmas for example, we would let the cream stir for just that bit too long and have lovely fresh butter to take home....

My daughter got her coronavirus test results today - negative. I am so relieved and happy. Thank you for all your support.
Now I’ve actually lived with using my preps for real, I’m going to think about what I should be doing differently. I’ll let you know if I have any blinding insights.

Thank goodness Airthrey and you're free to go out now too aren't you? what a trying time for you all, I'm just so relieved that all is well and I hope you can all sleep now xxx.
Greenbee, it's horribly windy up here too, the odd gust really rattles the whole house, hope all is well in your neck of the woods, hunker down and stay safe xxx.
