You could try stroing them in an old fashioned clamp, so bascially pile them up, cover with straw and then soil. |Then furtle around for a few at a time. I found when I bought a sack [ a couple of years ago now] they did last fairly well in a dark cool shed.

Re potato storage: I think it's also a tad warmer than it used to be, hence them sprouting quicker. We've literally only had 3 or 4 mornings with frost down here, so far this winter. My apples aren't storing as well as they used to, either; same tree, same total-lack-of-treatment, same storage method (cool dark garage, in wooden trays, individually wrapped in paper) and they used to last easily until the end of March, but I checked them this morning & I need to use them up fast now.Angie - GC Sept 25: £226.44/£450: 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 28/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)8

This means that someone who has had coronavirus could get it over again and that is one of the reasons why it is a very dangerous pathogen. It can mutate just going between different family members and each mutation is designed to make it a more dangerous virusJust to add that an anti back sanitiser has no effect whatsoever on viruses, Search out sanitisers containing alcohol

Not too bad here so far. We have a wind and rain warning, but neither seems particularly bad as of yet.
Tried a 'healthier' version of my chicken pot pie today for lunch. Very tasty. Used up some puff pastry from the freezer, and then used the off cuts to make a few small mince pies (as I still have mince pie filling in jars that I made late last year).
Just as important to have fun activities prepped for indoors with an active 3 year old, otherwise she would go completely stir crazy. And so would we. So she helped me put the pie together and make the mince piesFebruary wins: Theatre tickets11 -
Does anyone ever make their own butter and buttermilk? Saw James Martin do it on his show this morning and I was really surprised at how simple it was!February wins: Theatre tickets10

Way more sense to make your own! Himself buys the stuff Then Doesn't Cook With It, and wonders why my lip curls a bit.... Here's a version on how to if you can't find James Martin.11
