Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all spend the day doing whatever makes you happiest, including if that means not doing xmas at all. For me , it is all about chilling out & spending time with my kids. The one day a year I don't do any laundry:D0

Merry Christmas turtles! Hope it's been a good day for all of you, whatever you've been doing.
All change here, with just me and the kids for Christmas now, but it's been absolutely lovely.
We all slept until ds got us up at 6am, opened presents, then spent most of the day with my sister and her family. Now we're back home and in my pj's ready to settle down with some more mulled wine and a night in front of the telly.
Today I'm grateful for:
1. Being made so welcome at my sister's house.
2. The kids being happy with their Christmas presents
3. Being spoilt rotten with some quality gifts from family and friends
4. Prince Harry commenting that I'd made a cool hat for someone (that is a longer story that I'll bore people to death with on my diary).
Lots of love to everyoneNot giving up

Today I am grateful for a frosty start to the day so at least it felt a little more christmassy than of late, for our lovely understated decs, for dd relishing each gift she opened, for dh making a yummy lunch, for watching the Jungle book together, for seeing lots of people at church, for going to church splitting the present-opening so it lasted longer, for birdsong when I woke up this morning.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Merry Christmas all.
Sorry have not been around but it has just been so busy with work and Christmas that I really dont know where the time has gone. Had a lovely day and every one pleased with their presents and the food so all is well.
Loving the 1000 days challenge so I will ruminate on that one as I have the same age old one of losing weight which I really need to do but think I need a different approach.0 -
I hope you all had a lovely time, whoever you spent it, yesterday
Gratitudes for yesterday:
much time spent as a family, lovely presents received by us all (1 of OH's to swap size and the rest are all good), lovely food (and no waste), lots of lovely leftovers for easy food today/ tomorrow, the delight on DS3's face at opening a fluffy blanket for one of his presents (far outweighing -for him- many of the toys!), for finding spaces for most of the things already!
No Sales purchases planned here except for a couple of packs of Xmas cards and some wrapping paper at some point - no need to traipse out anywhere today. All 4 of the children had gift cards/ money for some of their presents, so those will get spent at some point - but the 2 students had things like C0sta/ clothes shops/ restaurant/ amaz0n cards, so can use those as-and-when. The smaller 2 had amaz0n so will no doubt use those on Leg0 over the next few months (Thankfully, money and gift cards don't 'burn a hole' in their pockets - they have no desire to spend them unnecessarily - they can just use them as they find things they want over time
Today = leftovers for yummy, easy food, possibly a walk (although it's a bit damp - I prefer cold to damp) and a family game of Risk.... Some thought will be given by me over the next few days to plans for next year (and onwards) - I've almost finished my current notebook, so may use the last few sheets for shopping lists and break open a new one from my stash for the occasion
Hope you manage some good rest over the next few weeks, mothernerd.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200
