Possibly changing the last paragraph to something along the lines of this...

"I have been coming to this Starbucks for well over 3+ years now and I think it's outrageous that the drivers have to pay £70 due to being in your establishment consuming your beverages and doing the work that needed to be done. The only way I was going to get my work done was coming to Starbucks, as you provide free wifi and space to be able to work peacefully as well as having a beverage. Now the driver has to pay a PCN for staying 1 hour over the time limit!?

I really don't want to have to lose my favorite Starbucks because of not being able to park in the car park and being able to work in your establishment. I think its a bit harsh of them making the driver pay £70 for overstaying when all we were doing was working. I seriously hope you can do something about this and possibly cancel out the PCN for me, as I would love to still be able to come to your store and work."

How does that sound, should I send that?

That's it sent to their customer service, will keep you updated on what they say or what they email me saying. They just sent me a confirmation email "Your question has been received and will be assigned to a member of our support staff. We will answer your questions as quickly as possible." Fingers crossed, below is what I sent...
    Dear Starbucks,

I wish to address a complaint to the Starbucks store located in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire in Palace Grounds. I have tried calling the number for this specific store but I have been having problems with my phone and hence why I am sending you this email. If you could pass this onto the correct person that would be great as we all if anything needs to be done, please feel free to contact me.

I had visited your Hamilton store to complete my final assessment on the 14th of November with several friends on mine to complete my UNI project, the driver drove to your Hamilton establishment, where I had to use your wifi to complete my UNI work, as well as consume your beverages and food. My wifi at home was out and I had to work on my project urgently so I thought coming to Starbucks would be the best approach, as well as being a regular customer to this store and buying a lot of beverages.

After staying in Starbucks for over 4 hours finishing my work, and consuming several beverages and sandwiched between me and my friends, using a lot of our well-earnt money, I went home peacefully at mind for having completed my work. Only to wait 9 days and receive a PCN through the driver's mailbox for basically overstaying our welcome.

I have been coming to this Starbucks for well over 3+ years now and I think it's outrageous that the drivers have to pay £70 due to being in your establishment consuming your beverages and doing the work that needed to be done. The only way I was going to get my work done was coming to Starbucks, as you provide free wifi and space to be able to work peacefully as well as having a beverage. Faithfully.

looks good to me, I knew you could do it with the right incentive and after some research

shame it didnt mention about having a terminal so that extra time could be asked for, but other than that its fine

Yeah, I mean I did read up on a bunch of the forums but they were all mostly calling in and not many or very few about emailing.

Done what I could so just going to wait for their reply, do you think I should email anyone else like you mentioned yesterday, maybe try and find the M.A? Or wait until Starbucks reply?

I can always say to Starbucks when/if they reply about the terminal.

wait for a reply, see where it goes

my point was that they (and other retailers on the site) should have made provision for people wishing to stay longer, so I wanted you to tell them about it as a way of them mitigating the issues involved whhilst retaining control on helping customers

ie:- they put that forward to the MA as a way of retaining customers instead of driving them away

but if you have further dialogue with them you can add it as an olive branch

if they fob you off to the MA, then do it then instead

Right, so basically we wait until Starbuck's reply and see what they say, then from there we can add in and say about the terminal and say as you say about how it drives people away rather than in, as well as having only 3 hours in an area which has all these shops isn't a lot of time when you think about it.

Whatever happens, we have to wait anyways.

Hope they reply in a decent time or even at all, because I know some cases they don't even reply...

Please read the NEWBIES thread section about Scotland, to save Redx's typing fingers.
