Queenie: Garlic? okay i'm running out of ideas now......... :wall:

Also went into kwiksave today for bun cases, currants, icing sugar and, I nearly rolled on the floor like a 3-year-old - No coffee essence! how am i going to make coffee cake now ?oh well back to the wartime cookery book for a substitue. I hope you all realise that this thread has made me be consumed with baking. i even had one old lady in hysterics on the phone today because i quoted her husband's name wrong. she laughed and said i sounded distracted so i just said i couldn't make my mind up between rock buns or butterfly cakes to bake this weekend!! she had a really good laugh and said it was nice to talk to somebody about baking these days (which we then did as she never got to grips with swiss rolls apparently)! i think it probably lightened her otherwise worry-filled day...... :A
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D
