I'm needing to book ASAP and you can't book flights for April 2009 - it only lets you book up until December 2008. xxx

    Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas on where i can get good priced flights from for Easter 2009. Just been looking at British Airways and Virgin - they are SO expensive - i know it's because it's Easter but we're going with 2 teachers so we have to go in Easter holidays only. We're needing to leave on the 4th April 2009, coming back on the 18th April 2009.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. xxx

I've finally given up on trying to get flights to Florida for these dates - they were expensive accross the board - they are saying it's because of Easter being on the 12th but we went at Easter 2007 and it was 500-550 for both BA and Virgin - even looking at Miami was over £1000 - our return to Florida will have to wait:rolleyes:
  • Hi all. Going in July but waiting for flight prices to come down. Can anyone tell me from experience how flight prices compare in July with June? It seems if I book 2 weeks in advance prices will be at rock bottom but this theory will be blown to pieces if July is a traditionally more popular month to travel. Would appreciate any input, thanks.
  • I have also been scouring the web to try and find cheaper flights to Florida. I've tried every permutation of airports and airlines and the average price is £5000 for 2 adults and 3 children. The only way I have found to cut the cost is to book an indirect flight, prices come down to around £2200.
I am thinking carefully about this as with three children in tow I need to get there asap!
As I'm employed by a school I have no choice over dates, however, even departing a few days earlier or later makes little difference!
I am thinking about hanging on a while.
Can people really afford to pay these prices? Am I being naive?!!!

    Dates would be useful?

rwaite, I have used these and they were even cheaper than Virgin, even though that is who we flew with. I can't guarantee the price when you ring but I can vouch that they are very competitive.

Thanks for this. I will give them a call in the morning. Did you have a direct flight or did you have a stop? We would really prefer a direct flight. We have a disabled passenger flying with us so we don't really want the hassle of a stop. Thank you again - i really appreciate your help and advice. xxx

Sad I know but I want to visit a gun range when in Orlando and noticed a post before said you could buy ammo at the supermarket - is this correct? Do you need ID? Also does range ammo not contain a reduced charge for use indoors?

We went to a range in Washinton DC and it was great Glock 45 and assault rifle. Ammo was pricy so it would be great if you could get from the supemarket. It is a raw atsmosphere inside with most of the staff walking arround with holstered guns and in the car park was a truck with the registration GUN GIRL.

We booked the scheduled flight from Gatwick to Orlando International (MCO). If you check on the Gatwick Airport website you will see a flight leaving from the South Terminal to Orlando (Flight No. VS015).

When we found the price with Dialaflight they kept the seats at the price they quoted for 30 minutes. I suggested to the other half that if they can do it at that price then maybe a phone call to Virgin would reap further discounts, but amazingly they said they couldn't match Dialaflights price!!

The price we paid, booking at January for the end of April was around £340.

I really wish you luck today and please let me know if you do get flights at that price for next Easter because I really would prefer to fly from Manchester, but when we looked (for 08) the prices were much more expensive.
