Has anybody been to Clearwater beach recently and whats the best thing to do there (except lie on the beach all day! )? Going there in October on day trip for a chill-out day from the parks.
We're planning on doing a bit of parasailing and going on the sea screamer (v big speedboat).
We also may do our canoeing from Clearwater as we hope to see some Manatee's in the wild.wannaberich41 wrote: »hi

I've seen a similar one that also shows humidity too but can't find it.
You can spend your time alone re digesting past regrets,
Or you can come to terms and realize you're the only one who can forgive yourself.
Makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

Also can't find flights for then yet. Any clues as to how much these might be and when is best to book (only ever done package deals before so a bit nervous about booking everything independently!!)
Try TravelCityDirect, I think they have their 2009 brochure out and it's easy to check online. I normally book Flydrive with them and then book villa separately - there are lots of 5+ bed villas around, try http://www.ownerdirect.com/index.htm
This will give you an idea on prices, alternatively TravelCityDirect will quote for villas as well so you could have a package.0 -

When is the best time to go to florida. Looking to go the school holiday in feb 2009 (last week) mainly or maybe the last week of may 2009 if daughter allowed time of school. Looking for hot but not humid and not alot of rain. It would be nice to come home with a little colour just to show ive been away. This will be the first holiday abroad for 14 yrs.
thanks in advance
May will be hotter (and also more humid) than February. There will also be more rain in May, although this tends to be a heavy thunderstorm in the afternoon - which quickly clears. February will get cool in the evenings.
As far as crowds go, Presidents day is in the middle of February, so the parks will be busier that week (about 14th - 21st). Memorial Day is at the end of May, and it will be fairly busy that week (although quieter than Easter and Christmas).
It just depends on how hot/busy you like it. A good website for planning your trip is www.touringplans.com . There is lots of information about planning your trip on there. Also, on www.weather.com , you can check out the average temperature/rainfall for the different months.0 -
Snoopy_rules wrote: »Today I received my virgin holidays tickets to Orlando which are actually e-tickets. I was reading all the info that came with it and wondered if anyone could help me. I Have booked the hotel as a complete package, but in the booklet it says that the hotel will as for a creditcard to cover incidentals. They state that they will get authorisation on an amount normally $50 a day, but can be upto $250 a day. This worries me because if it is the $250 a day it will use up most of my credit limit. Has anyone else been charged this?
We've just come back from Orlando (with Virgin). I asked the lady who checked us in how much they would be getting authorisation for. It was $50 a day. If you're worried you could try emailing or 'phoning the hotel and asking them how much it will be. I guess the more expensive the hotel you are staying in, the more they will want authorisation for.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Snoopy_rules wrote: »Sorry one last question. I have read that you are not allowed to lock your suitcases when flying to USA. Is this correct? What does everyone else do please. I don't like the thought of my luggage being unlocked.
We bought the TSA approved locks (from www.tripneeds.com) in case they wanted to open our cases, then I also put cable ties on so I would know if they had been opened. None of our bags were opened this time, and only one was when we went two years ago.
If you're not going to lock your cases, check your travel insurance as some policies don't cover items that go missing from unlocked luggage.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
