Today I received my virgin holidays tickets to Orlando which are actually e-tickets. I was reading all the info that came with it and wondered if anyone could help me. I Have booked the hotel as a complete package, but in the booklet it says that the hotel will as for a creditcard to cover incidentals. They state that they will get authorisation on an amount normally $50 a day, but can be upto $250 a day. This worries me because if it is the $250 a day it will use up most of my credit limit. Has anyone else been charged this?0

Seaworld and Busch Gardens both have ticket booths at the gate specifically for members of the military and their families.

You can spend your time alone re digesting past regrets,
Or you can come to terms and realize you're the only one who can forgive yourself.
Makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

We used to have a villa in Florida and that was what we recommended to everyone. Sometimes if you are at the outlet shops they offer strollers at $10 if you spend a certain amount. I have seen Carters childrens shop doing this a couple of times. Definitely better to buy a stroller and leave it than rent one every time you go to the parks0

My son, who is currently serving in the British Army, was in Orlando at Christmas and went over to Busch Gardens and got in for free by showing his ID card. Would recommend that you look up the websites of the attractions that you want to visit, email them and ask what ID is required.0

The credit card for incidental thing is standard practice in Florida. You can keep your incidentals down by not charging things to your room and charging them directly to your card. That way you will be able to keep a more accurate tally. Also, if you do want to charge lots to your room, just check with front desk every few days and get a copy of your account. I always do this, and just before coming home use any spare cash that I won't be using to reduce the balance before putting the remainder on my card. It's more of an issue if you're staying at a theme park hotel, as the options for charging are that much greater (eg you can use your Disney room key for a shopping spree) but you should be fine. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

the issue you may have is that they will lock the credit.
Basically if they take $50 per day for a 14 days then that is $700 tied up before you have spent anything.
In fact you may never put anything on the card and you will still have this "money" tied up until they release it.
Which should be done immediately you check out and you will therefore have nothing to pay and have the full resources of your card. Sadly not everyone releases this as quickly as they should and you can get caught out.
I have been to hotels which have asked for a credit card and I have said sorry I don't have one.
Woman in a hotel got very stroppy and said I would be able to charge anything. Told her that was fine as I wouldn't be.
Just to make sure they disconnected the room phone!0 -
I usually tell them I've brought the wrong creditcard and the one I have with me takes up to 14 days to release the lock (which is actually true) and ask if they can take a lower amount and block my room for charges. Some very posh hotels all over the US have happily not charged the card at all after this spiell so definitely worth trying.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
