i stayed there last year and going back there this year. found it better than the all-stars and they have there own bus the other ones tend to sometimes do drop offs at the other all-stars resorts and buses can be more busy. Pop century a lot bigger and beside a lake. nice for a walk after eating about a stone in weight!
For the price of PC or AS, which are basically 2 or 3 star motels with fast food cafes, you can stay in The Buena Vista Palace Hotel, which is a good four star hotel, and is right opposite Downtown Disney.

    Hi mumoftwo,

You have to buy annual passes at the ticket booths of one of the four Disney theme parks. I'm an AP holder and have been for 12 years, and that's the only way we've ever found of doing it.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I know there are better hotels (and stayed in them) however if you are there with young kids the themed stuff is loved at the hotels and priceless to see their faces actually stayed in Disney. Really depends if you are there on a budget, with kids etc. I would like to go to the animal kingdom lodge but would need another mortgage to pay for it. Yeah its fast food but most places are there. Land of the junk food!

You can also buy them online at Disney.com, but will still need to collect the actual ticket at Guest Services at one of the four theme parks or Downtown Disney; probably only worth doing if there's likely to be a price increase before you go.

We stayed at AKL for $119 per room per night, which I thought was very affordable. This was an Annual Pass rate. I would never book through a tour operator as they really overload the prices for AKL. For example Virgin at the same time were charging £210 per room per night (remember we paid $119 which was approx £70 at that time). AKL is really not as expensive as most (all) of the other deluxe category hotels at Disney.

Depending on when you are going, you might prefer to try out the new Seaworld water park Aquatica http://themeparks.about.com/od/finduswaterparks/p/AquaticaFL.htm

We weren't too bothered about Disney's water parks as we will also be getting the Orlando Flex ticket which includes Wet and (or is it 'n'?) Wild and, as mentioned above, Aquatica which opens in March and looks pretty inviting.

We were planning on not doing that much Disney at all but as gate prices seem to have risen since I last checked these 7 day tickets are a sensible option and it means we can go back if the kids want to.
