Hi
This is my first time posting so please bear with, I'm looking to go to Orlando in 2009 and would like to know the best way and the cheapest way of doing it? And of course the hotel as long as it got transport to the disney parks I don't mind I have a budget of £3000 travelling 2 adults!
Thanks0 -
We're off to Orlando again in November. Have you considered a villa? Even though it's just the two of us go, it's great value still to get a good deal on a villa rather than just a room. We have considered staying on site with disney but it's expensive and full of kids. We opt for a villa and hire a car as driving around out there is so easy and gives you the flexibility to go wherever you like whenever you like. You'll have fun and I reckon will get a great holiday for that budget!
Do buy tickets before you go, we normally use orlando Ticket deals, seem to eb the cheapest we have found and reliable. Eating out within Disney is expensive, so save the money to have a blowout anywhere outside of disney! Have fun!

Didnt really wanted to drive have driving before and scared the living day lights out of us what would a villa cost?? And where the best place to book0 -
I booked through Broadway Travel who seemd far cheaper than anyone. Paid £860 for 2 weeks at start of June. That includes flights (£598) and 2 weeks at Travelodge on I-Drive (£2658). Best I could find before that was about £1050!
I'm looking at booking my theme park tickets before I go.:
2 x Disney 14 dayers
2 x Orlando Flex Ticket Plus
Cheapest I cna find is £598 at this site... http://www.mercurytravel.net/usermain.asp?tcatid=4
Anyone used it and know if it is Kosher?

Look for a hotel in the Lake Buena Vista area as you'll find most of them will have courtesy coaches to Disney Parks and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance but much quieter (and nicer in my opinion) than International Drive.

Hi guys and gals, looking for some help with character dining, what times can you book for breakfast and if this falls on the parks extra hour opening day what happens then ?
You have to book 6 months in advance (180 days I think to be exact). Apparently, the breakfast at Cinderella's Castle sells out within minutes of booking opening. An alternative is the breakfast at Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh characters.
If the booking is before official opening time, you will get let into the park (so this can be one way of gaining early entry to the parks - except at peak times such as Christmas when the parks open extra extra early anyway so it is pointless going for the early times and you might be better getting a late morning slot so as not to waste any time first thing when the parks are just beginning to fill up).0 -

We stayed at the Buena Vista Palace last year - very nice hotel, free shuttles (although we had a car), just been refurbished. Cost - similar to the Pop Century/All Stars 2 to 3 star hotels.illegitimi non carborundum0

I am hoping that someone here can help me with flights for a family of 5. 2 Adults, 3 children (1 aged 14, 2 aged 3).
We are being told that flights for us will be £3200 approx !!!!!! Can someone please help me reduce it or we may not be able to go at all. We are looking at going in Summer 2009, staying somewhere cheap (i-drive or Lake Buena Vista). Any help appreciateds or how do I explain it to the kids......0
