    Dear Orlando thread chums

I shall be posting no more. Having spent money hours giving you all free advice and nothing in return was asked by me I have been told that people have complained about me mentioned my two not for money Podcasts Disney Brit and Eye on Orlando.

Please don't go. You have really been helpful on here. There are always people out to have a go but the majority really appreciate what you have done and can see that you have not done anything for personal gain. I can imagine how demoralising it is but please reconsider.
There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.

Yet another example of this country going mad. Where the hell as common sense gone? Craig aka Disney_CJD is by far the most helpful poster in this thread and yet people would rather he didn't contribute than mention other helpful sources.
At least you'll have more time to spend on yourself and family Craig, rather than personally replying to everyone's questions. Got to wonder if the people who have complained are as helpful as you...good luck to you,

Edited to add...how many times is the Dibb or allears mentioned or do they not count?

Please reconsider Craig:A. I'm sure the majority of visitors, both old and new, will miss your font of knowledge and it really is a shame that we have to lose you because a few people have had a winge:eek:.

Funny how Simon can post about his Brits Guide OK and he makes money from that and do not get me wrong, its a great book and I reconmend it.

tbh I'd not seen any links to Simon's book on here - I have seen him having a gripe about WHSmith. I assume you mean Simon Veness? I'm sure someone could add a quote if they find one from this thread.

Just to make it clear I'm not one of the ones who reported you, just felt I should add my tuppence worth that I could see where people would think you were in it to bump up your podcasts.;)

  • I'm going to Florida next year with DH & 3yr DD & 10 DS. We are staying on international drive and plan to do all the usual attractions. Ive read throught this thread and had loads of advice but I still don't know about hiring a car.. We're not really keen on driving but not sure how easy it is to bus it to all the attractions with 2 kids in tow. the cost of the car to hire is just under £400 or the airport transfer will cost £120.

    Help!!!

So why have we been moved?? It took me ages to find this thread this morning. This thread will be a complete waste of time if it is moved with no warning at all.

    Is somebody having a paddy??

There is a big debate about the need for a car regularly on here.... personally I would not do Orlando without one, others never bother.

For us the main advantage of having a car is is in the time we save not hanging around for buses/shuttles etc. If you spend 15 minutes am and pm waiting for a bus, over two weeks that adds up to 7 hours (the best part of a whole day!) wasted, and I am not paying all that money to spend a day of my precious holiday at a bus stop! Also we like to get to the parks early (before opening) and at the end of a long tiring day in the parks the last thing we want to do is hang around waiting for a bus! With a car you can take off for wherever you want to be when its convenient for you.

The first time we went, the driving was the thing I was most worried about, but it was fine, I remember thinking that hundreds of thousands of other tourists manage it perfectly well, and I'm sure I'm just as capable as most of them! :D
