I just re-read the dining plan for 2009 and I am wrong, sort of. It states that gratuities are not included except where stated. In some spots it is included (mainly dinner shows and character dining) and is automatically added to parties of 6+ or when items not on the plan are ordered with meals (alcohol etc).
Now I have a dilemma...I could tip for my group of 4, but my father-in-law won't tip for his 2 (he never does) which would make us all look stingy, or save 18% over the holiday by not tipping and still seem just as stingy!
You could always "pay" with your dining credits separately, and then it would be clear who the stingy one was... ie, not you!
Have fun :j0 -
ive never been on holiday before where i have been booking the flights myself as i have up to now gone with my parents. i am booking a holiday to orlando florida for june 2010 and would be very appreciative on any advice in terms of flights and car hire.
I have had a look today and got a quote of £1070  from virgin airlines (for 2 people) but then another quote of £640 :j(for 2 people) from somewhere else. So i figured there must be a trick somwhere! Although i did notice the cheaper option meant stopping at another airport fpr a few hours- which i dont mind if its going to knock that much money off!!!
In terms of car hire any prices i have seen seem to be very high! the age may have an influence (i am just tirned 20) but my o/h is 24 which will hopefully be cheaper if he is the driver???
any advice is much appreciated0 -
Looking to book a one-week visit this September for two people. Our only requirements are our own villa on a gated community and car hire.
Having searched the internet for the last few days, I can't seem to find any great deals. Any ideas from anyone please?
Hi,
Try www.completeorlando.co.uk
We got a cracking deal for November '09 just last week. You can tailor-make your trip online or call them on 0800 294 8844. They sell the cheapest attraction tickets about too.
Good luck. Let us know what you think.Note to Self: When posting, remember to keep within "forum rules" to avoid upsetting other "interested parties"0 -
Lynneth - we got our Disney tickets, 14 days Ultimate for $1038 for three of us - depending on exchange rate and card fees that might be cheap enough for you. They're real tickets, arrived 4 days after we ordered them, from
.
hth
Also do they send you e-tickets or original tickets??
Thanks0 -

Hi.
UNDERCOVERTOURIST.COM
I have costed my disney tixs from these & they will save me £150.00 in total compared to Disney site but just abit worried if they are ok to book with...Anyone ever bought from this site?? anyone had any problems??
Thanks
We recently bought our tickets form undercovertourist for $1038USD, it worked out about £213 for each 14 day unlimited Disney pass once the dollars were changed to pounds and we were charged our nationwide 0.75%ish fee. Still considerably cheaper than the official site, and it is real tickets that come, took a few days to arrive, postmarked Edinburgh.
We don't go till Christmas, but did an large amount of Googling on undercover tourist, and found very few complaints, triadvisor etc. showed them delaing well with problems, they have a UK freephone helpline, we wouldn't have gone with them if anything smelled fishy.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Disney chefs will always try to accommodate any food alergy. You just need to tell your server about your problem and they should ask the chef to sort out an alternative for you. Here is a link to All Ears special dietary needs page.

It has something for everyone regarding special diets in Disney (Florida mostly) but all Disney parks work the same way I think.
I hope its of use.Note to Self: When posting, remember to keep within "forum rules" to avoid upsetting other "interested parties"0 -
I've got a food allergy too. When in Disney I go to guest relations either at the (Disney) resort or at the park. They've phoned restaurants for me, made bookings, had special meals arranged in advance, all sorts really. Absolutely brilliant. They even once made me my own special meal for the "meal deal" price even though it wasn't on the menu, because I was allergic to the vegetarian meal that was. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
